I dunno, 37mil for an achievement is a drop in the bucket with how easy it is to earn sPs. Heck you can save up the CSC we occasionally get for free from staff and sell it and make quick easy sPs then.

It's not really 37m if you consider that the price fluctuates. You will end up spending much, much more, most likely.

Still, even if it went up as high as 50mil, it's a nice goal to work towards. I think it's doable for anybody determined enough. Just always buy the cheapest ones out there and slowly work your way towards it.

Isn't there a correlation with how rare they are and how common the "Oddtu" items are? We have an overly-massive amount of those, and even when they are asked constantly by the Recycle Beast, the oddtu items far outweight the chocolate candy bars. I think upping the rates of them being obtainable in rando would not be harmful.

They're rare most likely because of the achievement. That's expected and normal. I don't agree in changing something that's working fine and as intended.

How are you so sure that it is intended? It could be like what happened not so long ago with the sport bags not being able to award salads, or ikuremadox (or however it is spelt) not giving certain berries after an update.

There are also Oofa fruit, which work in a somewhat similar method to this achievement, and those are readily farmable by anyone who plays slots. Getting no black candy bar after a week of playing (10 sessions of random each day) is far too unlikely for the 250 you need. It's way too much.

That's just how RNG goes. That's normal. Obviously staff have it balanced accordingly so that the achievement requires time and effort for it. Or you just save up sPs and go splurge to get the achievement. Whichever works.

To me, it sounds like this thread is more of a thinly-veiled complaint that you can't just get the achievement right away. Have a little more patience, you'll get the achievement one day.

In a game that strives to be so balanced like Subeta (constantly reintroducing items and even past event rewards, for example, and trying to keep control of the economy), I really don't think this kind of 'challenge' as you call it is something the developers intended with the Black Candy Bars.

There is but one way to make sure, though. When they respond to the thread we will know where they stand. But I am sure this is nothing but a small oversight. Black Candy Bar just comes as an outlier, probably affected by the Oddtu item pool, like I said before.

Or someone just happens to be going for the achievement right now and that's why prices are up. It'll taper off eventually.

Over 50 people could try going for the Oofra fruit achievement and their prices would not budge, because the supply is more than enough for the demand. I wouldn't complain if Random wasn't time-gated, but it is.

You're comparing apples to oranges lol Oofa Fruit achievement only requires 10 successful bugs to be found. You could get that in under 50 easily. Naturally it makes sense that the candy bar is going to inevitably cost more because you need 250 of them.

Oh, Amber! I did edit the post to be more "feedback-like", with the inquire between Oddtu items rate and the Black Candy Bars themselves. I thought that would make it 'feedback-like' enough.

I think my calculations were whooly badly made because, even if it were 30M, I would still be buying the candy bars, and the price would be going for anyone else who wanted to try. THe chocolate bars that cost 70K wouyld eventually go for 150K, then 300K ea, and they would be even more expensive for other users who try in return.

The supply is not enough for the demand. It only takes 1 person to attempt the achievement, after all, for the prices to spike. If one person changes the Black Candy Bar value so much, what could more people attempting it do?

then anyone who's buying candy bars needs to be patient and work on the achievement over a long period of time, like you have to do with the treasure map achievement, scroll making achievement, oofa bug achievement, or any other achievement that requires repeatedly doing an activity that consumes items?

-Treasure maps can be obtained via random events. Readily available and some pieces are dirt cheap. -Scroll-making recipes can be bought and restocked reliably. -Oofa fruits are obtainable from slot machines. And there are other slot-related achievements for one to try while they do that. Nothing stops someone from going ham on the slots and farming it themselves in 1 hour or so. -Pastries can be obtained from boxes in the millionare center. -Pumpkins are seasonal, and you can get them during their respective event- -Faeries are seasonal and you can also get more of them by playing. -Survival Flowers restock.

All of these features maintain a stable sense of difficulty, while also keeping supply and demand in check. This does not happen with Black Candy Bars.

fine, you can have the others, but the two cheap map pieces come from random, the game you're complaining about.

the rest of the pieces come from random events, and suffer from the exact same "issue" as the black candy bar. they inflate in price when someone decides to go for the achievement and take ages to go back down, each piece is just one possible random event out of dozens, and most of the time you get some useless event like "the maliss walked by" or "someone dropped two pennies and a hairball, don't spend it all in one place." just like your candy bar.

if the candy bar isn't going out AT ALL, that's something that should be looked at. but if it's just rare thanks to lady luck deciding to spite people, that's no different than regular random events, that's whatever.

The fact that you couldn't refute the others was enough for me, I think. They are all balanced in their own way. That only speaks volumes of me being in the right track.

As for the map pieces: That only makes it sound like the pieces are in more of a predicament than this. But these are neither here nor there and I have no actually decent feedback to increase the map pieces. I only have what I suggest here in this thread about the Black Candy Bars.

I've been a member for a long time and black candy bars were not always that expensive. I do think they were much cheaper before the new Oddtu items were added.
