CYL units are here... but I'm just like.... PELLEAS!! So excite.

I am absolutely here for ponytail-Eirika, she’s going to be my free pick I think. Marth could have been a little more exciting but he got some good skills. Marianne and Gatekeeper were pretty meh for me when they won to begin with so I’m not too bothered about them. I want to like Marianne’s art but there are a couple of things about it throwing me off.

- yeah, I really really like erikas art, but her outfit is kinda boring (it's just ephraims but without armour or pants) and the ponytail makes her look like Lyn. Marth should have got the celica treatment: [IMG]https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/fireemblem/images/7/70/Fe1marthfalchion.png[/IMG] I'm probably just going to summon everything until spark and see where I'm at then. That worked our quite well for the last CYL. Hoping that pulling free Maribelle (as a 4s on the festival banner) and Dorcas on the weekly revival wont have killed my karma too much. >.<

Well... cyl banner didnt go great. Got Marriane on my last summon before sparking, but none of the others. Free summoned eirika and sparked gatekeeper. Decided to skip on Marth cus boring old sword infantry. He has nice skills though. I dunno if I want to try for him. I got Dieck (decidedly gatekeeper without a shirt or helmet) another -spd brave claude (at least he has decent skill fodders) and Ewan (eww). I thought Ewan would be one of the ones demoted to 4s special in this latest round of remotes, but nope. I guess sabatoge spd is still primo enough to keep him a 5s locked? Maybe I can drop that onto Pelleas when we get him. I'm a little sad Pelleas doesnt have a gimmicky prf like most of the other red grail tomes. Raudrlion seems a bit meh.

I think they did that Marth with his young version though, iirc they showed it in a Feh channel I think. Nice to see him in something other than blue but I think they could have swapped his weapon.

I’ve done 20 summons so far and it netted me a 4* Surtr, Larcei and Ingrid. I’ve taken my Eirika already but idk if I want to go to spark. I can easily see getting nothing else for the remaining summons and ending on a 4% :/

- I mean, they sort of did with young marth, but it's way less fun with young marth! The red us nice, but it kind of just reminds me of a smash bors skin.

I thought about going beyond 40 to try and get them all... but I decided it wasnt worth it. Time to start saving again.

I'm so glad I read about Eirika being a nuke because I would have chosen Gatekeeper and that would have been a fail because he's more a support unit even if I like his art most of all (Eirika looks like another Lyn, Marth looks like .. Marth .. boring and Marianne is hella weird in her attack pose). Easily least exciting CYL for me.

- yeah, marianne's art is so strange, it's like pretty, but also like bits of it are just contorted weirdly. Her face in her normal art is strange, I cant put my finger on it, but I dont like it. That artist also did other very overtly contorted females with anatomically off art like summer noire and rahjat. Gatekeeper is a fun tank. But hes quite slow and doesnt have anything to allow him to double. I might drop QR on his b slot cus his prf B slot is like obstruct +. Who wanted that??

It sounds like Gatekeeper can work under certain conditions or with certain team builds, but I don't like him enough to do that. QR sounds good. Yeah, I guess obstruct + is there for certain team builds, to hide ranged mages/archers/staff users? :x Marianne's face is very pretty and even the outfit but the bendy thing kills it. Yeah, she seems like Rahjat, same sort of female face features even. :0 But at least she doesn't look like Lyn 5.0 like Eirika. xD I'm enjoying the tanking so far with my Eirika, she's not even maxed out on her A slot and doesn't have an S slot. Really need some orbs in the story section so hopefully can use her to kill things. o3o

I hope people are getting what they want from CYL!

- yeah, I kinda wish they had left eirikas hair down. I dont mind that her outfit is just gender bent ephraim, but her headshot really does look like Lyn. I love her art, but the Lyn resemblance is strong. Mine is kind of...not tanking. She really needs that 30% damage reduction to take anything, but at least she has canto, hit and run is a good strat with her. She actually pairs well with gatekeeper cus she can hide behind him with the obstruct thing, it's also nice for healing him cus I dont have to worry about the healer behind him getting hit. For the moment I just gave him qr seal, but Eirika (og) needs that back for arena to counter all the edelgards.

At least I'm here for the cyl! I picked Marth as free and got Eirika after one pull! Not sure if I'm going to get any other.

Kind of a slow week on feh. Waiting for the new legendary (and more importantly, new heroes ;3; ). Haven't had 100k+ feathers for a while either. Can't wait to get to 220k and figure out my next +10 project.

- Yeah, it's been a bit slow. This VG theme is kinda weird, but I have most of the units from it, so yay bonus points! I'm gonna be feather poor shortly, I decided to build Summer Leonie, Summer Norne, and Pelleas, and probably going to build Ashnard too... so once all those grail guys become available.... bye bye feathers. Summer Leonie is already proving a good choice, she's helped rip through some lunatic maps and easily getting max scores on the Rokkr battles. (although, Pirate Hinoka against the lance fliers in the first round was hilariously easy. A friend of mine managed max damage in 1 turn with some dancer/duo support)

I'm on the fence about getting my Forma Halloween L'arachel... she ended up with pretty good skills, but I wanted trace for her, but never got the option, she does have Lull spd/res, which is good, and she got att/spd menace and att/spd catch which pair really well with the Plegian Torch I got on her too. And I do love her art. But I'm also mad at her for the number of orbs I spent trying to get her two years in a row, and without merges, her stats do leave something to be desired.

Imma go for the gatekeeper 'cause of that smile haha. :') Ooh, that's a looooot of grails. Good luck! Are forma souls even worth it if you don't merge 10 copies into one after you get it? :0

- Yup, so many grails! OTL But none of the summonables recently have been units I really care to build, except maybe Luthier, but the only reason I would build him is for Limited hero battles (my valentia game is really lacking) cus otherwise hes just Nino 2.0 and I've already invested too much into my Nino to want to build another same niche green tome unit. And the two summonable units I am working on right now don't want to come home!

I mean, yes, and no. The way I play FEH is more from a collection aspect than a super competitive one. Buying a forma unit is a guaranteed 5s unit, and generally with really good skills that would otherwise required 3-4 5s units to be sacrificed to build. I really like Halloween l'Arachel's art, and I like her as a unit as well (I have her other forms, and my OG l'Arachel has some merges) But it's true, without merging her, she'd probably just sit in my barracks and collect dust along with 95% of the rest of my barracks. Hence why I'm on the fence: I really want her, and this is a good opportunity to get her without spending oodles of orbs (only to end in misery like my last two attempts to get her), but also... would I really use her? My other forma is young Minerva, who I did make +10 after, and I also got my winter Fae, because she ended up with good skills, and I already had her with 1 merge already, and I use her with relative success on my aether defense team.

I free picked Brave Marth and chose Brave Gatekeeper as my first spark as I promised! I also decided to go for a second spark for Brave Marianne since I got Brave Eirika when breaking the pity rate after the first spark. I also got my first Tsubasa, a Nailah, a PERFECT Keaton (+Attack/-Speed), and a merge for my Brave Marth along the way. As good as Distant Pressure and Spurn would’ve been for fodder, I love Marth too much to make any version of him fodder. My Brave Eirika was +HP/-Attack, so I used Trait Fruit to fix that and make her +Speed/-Res!

When I saw that Gatekeeper won 1st Place on the males side, I was nervous that Marth was going to be shafted by not receiving a prf skill. I’m glad he got one with his Shining Emblem and Eirika got one with her Moonlight Bangle. Now I’m hopeful that Intelligent Systems starts to give the older 2nd place CYL winners prf skills in some sort of CYL Remix.

I decided to go to spark on CYL, randomly got a Pent on the way (plus a 4* special flying Nino) and picked up Marianne. So it's just Marth and Gatekeeper missing and I'm sat on 3.75% on the banner. I'm eh on Gatekeeper anyway (never got the joke) and I don't need another 5* green mage I'll never merge. I already have an accidentally fairly invested LMarth who should be remixed before the end of the year, so I'll wait for the inevitable pity break for his brave version XD

Picked up H!Myrrh from the formas, I've wanted her for actual years ( get the L'Arachel! You can use her in rival domains)

Also managed to luck into Plegian Dorothea with the worst IV spread but decided to trait fruit her to something more acceptable.

Am hoping to skip the legendary banner, I just recently gave OG Micaiah a ton of things to use in AR and they don't seem that different? My free summon was Clarine, so took it as a sign haha. Either way, it is Legendary Remix coming up, I have another Lobster to collect so I need to save. The past three/four months have been really hard on my orb balance/stash and the gatcha has not been kind... I'm sort of tired.

I'm also content on skipping out on legendary Micaiah specifically, but can't resist the Ashera and F!Edie mergers.

Thanks for the heads-up on the upcoming legendary remix, though! It could be worth a gander.

No worries, the next remix is Hector and Ephraim, with Ryoma and Robin on the other colours. Hoping that it will be later in the month (since the FB rerun is earlier) to allow for extra orb saving time. Hopefully they’ll get something good!

- Really hoping Legendary Ephraim will have a good weapon refine that I can give to OG Ephraim. Cus OG Ephraim's refine is the saddest refine ever. I think I have a spare of him sitting around in manuals too, so maybe he'll get some good skills I can pawn off on someone else.

- Yeah, I'm glad Marth and Eirika ended up on par with the top two winners (actually, better IMHO) Good to know IS has an appreciation for the non-meme units.

I'm skipping this leg banner as well, I did get a 4s special Linde on my free summon, I didn't already have her, so that was nice.

I'm also going to skip the Legendary Micaiah Banner. I used up my birthday luck yesterday summoning Gala Beast Volk in Dragalia Lost using only 20 single summon vouchers, so I'd rather stop while I'm ahead. Angry Plague Wolf was definitely a higher priority for me.
