I really am struggling with Harrow. Second person is a hard read. But it's rewarding!

what is it about 2nd person that makes it difficult? And what makes it rewarding?

It's the whole "you" as the subject. The story is told from someone besides Harrow's viewpoint. I won't spoil. It's so well-written, though, that I'm forcing myself past the struggle I'm having with it. The audiobook is really good and helps me.

Having the story told by a narrator "to" Harrow (hence the "you" stuff making it 2nd person) makes you struggle with it, I get that, I was just wondering if it was something where you had an idea why or is it just an experience but not something you can pin down?

I've read several books with 2nd person narrative and they were a little weird at first but I found I quickly acclimated. Lucky for me I guess if / when I want to read Harrow the Ninth, I don't think it'll give me any trouble for that.

Strong suspicion I know who would be narrating but that's just a guess!
