I have been know to go out side late at night and enjoy the quiet and fresh air, especially in the summer. You learn to cherish it here, after a good rain. Everything has been washed off, and vegetation goes wild from fresh water.
yes here it is in springtime or late fall actually that we get the damp..i always liken it to the cattle and horse all being dedusted and freshning up their poor dried skin so much they need it!!

I remember one spring in the mountain valley of Montana, I was about 6 years old. Two of my sisters and I nagged our Mom to go play in the mud. She let us, and all the neighbor moms were shocked and mad, because they knew their kids would start nagging them. Well we played in the mud, but werent allowed back in the house with out an impromptu shower from the garden hose. That didnt stop the fun, it was fun from beginning to end. I remember that day so clearly, I considered it one of my better childhood memories.
Rain here is like everything took a good healthy shower, and sparkly clean.
ohhh i love your muddychildhood memorfies!! my girls always has a MUD KITCHEN VEERRRYYY complete too hahah and their friends were always amazed at what they were able to do here...we also had three full blown teepees up for each of them and a friend..with big round pole making the tp and huges black sheets wrapped around them..in there they each had a stump for a cooktop and some pillows for sitting..damn i miss those days but i see them carrying on with the imagination that lives within them always!!

Oh man so jealous, we never had tepees. But we made snow igloos in the winter. We were outside all the time unless, we had to bath, eat, warm up or sleep. My house has a huge backyard so I had a trampoline and above ground pool for my sons to wear them out. Hubby even installed motion sensor lights for playing in the evenings.
@ hahah i love the night lights idea ..and ya i cant imagine three {i think right?). my gf has two boys and when they came to my hair salon they played in the bathroom while mom got here hair done, there was an old clawfoot tub in there that the place was built around ..then throw a few packs of perm rods in there and tah dah..a haven for them to play in lol

Yes 3 sons, drove me crazy. Hence why I have silver/gray hair, I taught them to drive too. My 2 younger ones I did together, I will never do that again. Nor will I volunteer to teach someone else kids.
..smiles...i can only imagine the torture and fear hahah...when i taught my girls i went first to the parks parking lot( kind of a range park HUGE..nice big lot lots of turning practice. then on a very obscure street the speed and stopping practice. when i was learning i once remember my dad yelling at me like MADDDDDFD. He had said STOP..so i looked pver my shoulder blinker on and pulled to the right side or this totally rura; road in Wisconin. WELL HELLLLLL i caught shit because he yelled IF THERE WAS A KID THERE YOU WOULD HAVE HIT HIM!!!! FUCK ME>>!!!!! i thought i did perfect and her thought otherise ..needless to say it was not a pleasure learning to drive from him...

I used parking lots too. My hubby was all I will teach my sons, its a man thing blah blah. I had to take over, before one of them lost their minds. Hubby figured out after older son, he couldnt handle it. But I also learned not to let older son teach his brothers, rinse and repeat hubby behavior. Here they made restrictions on teenagers driving with friends. Well one day older son wouldnt come home, made excuses. I told him, bring your tail home or lose the car and driving privileges. Well he gets home, he was at the point in restrictions he could have one friend. well, he had 2 friends. I told him, get straight back to school and he had 10 minutes. He knew I would call the vice principal, who was a no nonsense guy and knew my kids from junior high. I told him, if I caught him doing that again right in front of his friends. That he wouldnt have to worry about his Dad I would take his license and car away. He came home, mad. I told him, you dont like what I said in front of your friends well then learn to follow the rules. I told hubby, and he told son "you heard your Mom." Son whined about me embarrassing him to his Dad, hubby told him "I would have done the same."
It is midnight and I am just getting ready to close up the puter and shut my eyes, not that I will fall asleep for another hour LOL, and I saw your message. I have been making HAs and saving them over and over. I think I can do it in my sleep now but can't because I luuurve seeing them! Obsessed much?
I am getting ready to release a few new body mod ones like my I hope peeps like them! hehe
Well girls and boys...Summer is surely here as we are burning up baby. Pool water was 92F today but we swam to cool off anyway1!
love you purple one. Here for you whenever and if you would rather talk privately, can do that too!! hugs and smooches
Solidarity, baby! it is what kids need!!!

My son was so shocked, that his Dad felt no pity for his misbehavior. Dumb kid if he had got caught by the cops, he would lose his license, and our insurance would have gone up. Hubby told him let it happen again, no car or license for a year. We didnt have any more car issues, lol.
Haha I have 4 sons and do you think they could learn from each other experiences? Most of the time, no. They all had to get into their very own trouble! My youngest child is a girl and yes, she learned from watching her older brothers! LOLOL
BUTTER BUTTER2 BUTTERCOOL Have a listen! It will def have you smiling 💜

Oh man and your not complete gray or bald, I figured that was my future look with my sons driving me crazy. Oh I got inventive with punishment like sentences, and much more. If I got tired of fussing at them time to do sentences by hand.
on friday I start a 3 day scooter tour with the scooterclub with 16 scooters :D ❤. unfortunately the weather forecast is not particularly good. but I'm still happy :) my cat has been peeing in front of his toilet for 2 weeks, he is now being treated for cystitis. my half-sister is now close to me in an old people's home and is doing much better with the care. otherwise there is nothing special in my retirement life. :D :D

I just popped in because I woke up too hot. It's 3am for me now and it is only 66 degrees outside but it feels warmer inside, lol. I am going back to bed with the fan on so I'm sure that will help. Anyway, I am going back to bed now. I hope you are doing okay. waves at group hug
Calendar days are closer than they appear! [item=mocking clock]
I do hope you can make it to Arkansas someday. It definitely is the state to be out in nature and away from everything for awhile.
I will definitely tell Michael about our WS adventures and then see if we can't come up with some of our own :)
It was nice to see my uncles and their families along with extended family, more cousins who live there. The pictures don't do Devil's Den justice, but it helps. The history about the state park is pretty cool.
Right now I am washing clothes and will find some breakfast soon. I am hungry.
:) Hi Fabulous!
(a warning, I have now realized that I kinda blurbed here a lot. I haven't been able to tell anyone about the trip in full yet, so I kinda... yeah. ^_^' )
My sisters and I just got back on Sunday from a week-long trip to Florida. We were driving, so it took two days to get there and two more to get back. bleh~.. stuck in a car so long... ^_^ But it was really fun! Not everything went well, but that's how our trips usually are. (the sister who planned it and needed it the most ended up getting called by work to do some meetings every day. they had rescheduled them. the meetings were Supposed to be the week After. meh.. it's in the past now, and she Did get to have some fun..) :D I got to see a Beach! I haven't seen a beach in Years (and that was a ucky beach somewhere in south Texas). I haven't seen the east coast beach since I went on a trip in second grade. That was.....I don't know how many years ago...24..?? A little frustrating that the water safety flags were at red on that side, but when we drove through Pennsicola (for like 30 minutes) it was at a yellow and the waves looked So inviting. That sand is SO soft. :3 There was one day right before we left that we got up and went to the beach (east side of Florida, St. Augustine) to watch the sun rise. Then as we were driving away from Florida got to see the beautiful sunset too.
aaaah! XD It was so much fun! (even the day I wasn't feeling good and sat with my sister in a B&N coffee shop while she worked.)
Anywho, it's like, 9 am now and I need to go eat something. ^_^ I hope you have a beautiful day Sweets! <3
