: Some of the very old images on SubetaLodge show what we're talking about. (Look at Stinging, for example: the animation shows a dark-skinned male turn into a light-skinned female and then to a light-skinned male as the virus progresses. The appearing-then-disappearing boobs aren't really part of the virus itself!) We'd like to have a consistent set of images, but we'll make do with what we have. I'll have them up tonight.

That makes a lot of sense. I don't know why it didn't register with me on the way the base HAs might be inconsistent for some of them. The kisses thing is especially annoying too, it doesn't feel like those should even show up at the healer =/

It's been a little quiet in here recently. I think that's good.

I've been quiet myself because things at home are pretty stressful. My mom's health has taken a turn for the worse; we're fortunate enough to have good insurance and a home nurse visit every week, but it's still difficult.

A side effect of the difficulties at home is that I haven't been on here as much. I'm barely questing at all these days, and apart from logging in during survival to return kisses, that's been about it. I'm tired of this place and the announcement today just made me even more unhappy.

I'm not backing out on anything SubetaLodge related, though. Y'all are a good team to work with and I really appreciate you all.

I'm sorry to hear your mother is declining. I'm always available if you ever need to vent.

I've been trying to not be "passionate" about stuff on here...but that's not working well either. Without the passion getting me annoyed when they mismanage stuff, I find I lack passion to enjoy the good things too. Grinding out quests and putting in work to kiss and collect hearts is hard when there's no passion to get the things that are earned that way.

I did really enjoy biting people! I was able to be whole-hardheartedly passionate about that because I felt that I was helping individual users, making their day and helping them along. It was fun and exciting and actually felt like I was accomplishing something good. I used to feel that about many more aspects of the site. Now I'm at a point where if the site came crashing down permanently today, I'd be a little sad, but not devastated. And frankly a little relieved too. That makes me sad.

Does anyone remember if there's something special we need to do when we update an item to achievement prize status? I just realized that the was changed in 2019's Gelatin War from a 5 win drop to a 5 win achievement to only get to earn one from that war forward and I've updated the notes but I know there's some sort of something else we usually do if something is an achievement prize (or maybe I'm thinking of it being special if it's part of the requirements for an achievement).

: We have a tag for notating items that are used to get an achievement. We don't yet have a tag for achievement prizes, but it wouldn't be hard to make one.

I knew I was remembering wrong. And there's honestly no need to work on something like that at the moment. Maybe in the future when there's less going on but I know you're busy and you've got your mom to worry about hugs

I think I've told my mom's backstory before, but the short version is that back in 1991, she was given six months by the doctors, and miraculously, she's still with us today, but the combined effects of chemo, radiation, and Alzheimer's have left her in a bad state. It's unlikely that things will improve for her.

But we have many weeks when things stay about the same, and then we have some weeks when something changes and we have to adjust to a new normal -- and that's what it was like most of March.

I'm holding up. Our nurse has been fantastic through all this, and Mom's church has helped a bit by bringing food to the house from time to time. Things would have been a lot worse without their help.

But I'm tired all the time lately, and I hate feeling that way. I'm getting up there in years myself, and it's really starting to show.

I'm glad you've got some extra support from the nurse and your mom's church. Cancer and Alzheimer's are both devastating and draining on their own, but to have the combined effects is a lot. I'm sorry that your mom has had so many tough weeks recently both for her and for you and the strain I know it adds to your life. I hope you can have some more frequent stable weeks and get a little bit of a reprieve from the bad changes. If there's anything you need don't hesitate to ask.

Some advice. I'm adding the new prize items to SubetaLodge's new wearable table. There are two categories that fit - Event (gelatin war) or Battle loot. Normally I'd add it to event because of how it was awarded. But we also have Vesnali just around the corner with a lot of new werables which will go in the event category. So where do you think I should add it?

Hmm, good question.

A lot of what we get as 'battle loot' isn't the result of a single battle -- many of them are prizes given out as a reward for a fifth battle against the same opponent with the same pet. The gelatin war prizes are similarly given out as a reward for a sustained effort against one opponent with the same pet. The mechanism by which they're given out is different, but the effort required to gain these items is the same kind of effort.

Also, most of the new items have rarity 170, which is "Challenger Loot", so we might as well put the items there.

I'm okay with either one, though.

I think doing it as Battle Loot works best just because that's the way to get it?

Also I have a question too - I'm updating weapon info for the items that come from the Fanciful Box and Godly Fanciful Box and realized I can't link from the boxes themselves to what weapons drop unless we change something about the godly box name (just in the link) to keep it separate. Should I just link to the item notes search correctly for each and then notate to make sure they check on the item to see which box it can come from? Or should I call the Godly Fanciful just the "Godly Box" in the item notes for those weapons but have that link to the box name correctly? I don't want to confuse people into searching for "godly box" but also I want them to be able to see what's possible to obtain from the boxes.
