Yes, I am still writing, I just finished a short story set in 1964 about young Griffin Redfern (a ferret) and his buddy Seamus Morrell (a badger) who are blacksmith apprentices on a quest to find a recently fallen meteorite to use in fashioning swords for their final project. (whew) The encounter a crazed wolverine, a hoard of vicious packrats and stumble upon the lost realm of a long-missing wolverine tribe and their king. There's a battle, intrigue, young love and metalworking. I think there is some underage drinking too, but badgers and wolverines would never admit to drinking underage.

Nothing to worry about. Happens every now and then and have to live with it. A lot more worse of than me. Gazz is taking me down to the beach house tomorrow I think and yes I MUST get on that boat., no matter what. I need to have some control over things.

That actually sounds amazing. It sounds fun and adventurous, with a bit of scandal on the side. I love how you avoid raveling feathers by using animal/cartoonish characters instead of humans, and it adds to the comedy of it. Your detail is amazing as well. I haven't written in so long, I think I have a fixated "block" around my head. I have been in such a funk, my creative nature went on vacation without me.

I am immune from writing rules and have freed myself to write crap if I want to. Writing is writing. So there, all you high school and college writing instructors and your writing guilt trips! I do remember all the first events that I took part in. Events here really bond people. I do remember the water balloons and water guns. Wonder why we only did that one once. I miss the floating red envelopes with money. Those were fun to find.
