Doing good around the place. Weeds grow so quickly when you leave for a few days. Outside veggies nearly finished or else eaten by bugs or birds and ruined.

F@@@@ birds. Never a thing from fruit trees. Peck at then green and ruin them. Only raspberries for berry bushes here and they do OK. Also pineapple guavas which nothing seems to eat.

Dang frost got my lime bush, so I will have to cut if off to about a foot high. I will do branch test, starting a top of bush and go down. When branches stop breaking/snapping in half, at whatever height they stop breaking will be the level I cut the whole bush too. But it will take about 2 years to see a good yield again. This happened before.

pur apple plum pear and 2 orange trees give fruit and my baby lemonm dropped most it's leaves twice has like 6 lemons on it it is stuggling to keep growing. cant see bugs/snails but is thrird/foutth lrmon i have tried. mmm i LOVE berries. they are alwayas costly here. our berry buh has now brambled through other plants on very small hillside in backyard so it is getting harder to reach them!!

My lime bush goes crazy here, as long as it doesnt get frozen. The bush was brought here from California, and it loves desert life. Seems lime bushes really prefer to be in the ground, and not a pot. Try bone meal, but ask advice on how to use it from a nursery. For me, I use any bone that still has marrow in the center of the bone. If its in a pot, which could be the issue it maybe root bound. But if in a new pot, push bone deep into soil near the wall of the pot(clean bone of any meat and wash, so pet wont be so attracted to it). Dont need to break open bone, it will slowly release nutrients on its own into the soil. BUT if already outside, bury bones at 4 points at the end (tips) of the branches. Like imagine a boxed area around the bush, and at the corners of the box put the bones. I generally collect bones all year, and put them in the freezer. Then about February when ground is warmer, I bury the bones. Then they can start releasing nutrients into the soil before growing season starts. It really works! Oh for right now! Get a can of soda (pop) any brand, and pour it around the base of the lime bush. It maybe that your lemon bush is root bound (roots are in one huge mass tightly which makes plant unhealthy). SO the soda's (pop) carbonation (bubbles) will help loosen the roots from each other, and no soda does not attract ants or bugs. ITS VERY IMPORTANT when planting new plants, trees, or bushes to loosen the roots after getting them out of the pot you bought them in. NEVER leave any plant you buy in its original pot, because 10 to 1 its already root bound.

It's best practice to remove flowers from young citrus trees for the first few years, so they can put their energy into developing a good root system and branch structure.

I remove the blooms on flowers I have in front of my house. They get about 4 feet tall, up to my shoulders. LOL I am short.

The dog I have now, he likes to lay under the lime bush when I pick the limes. He supervises, and is safe from the thorns I have to deal with on the branches of the lime bush. I always look like I got into a fight with a cat. I end up with scratches up and down my arms. But worth it, the limes are always huge and juicy. When my 2 littermate dogs were alive, they would stay close to me outside when it would storm with lightning or fireworks. If its possible it would be a dog under each arm practically one of them 90 pounds and the other 70 pounds. Big as they were, they took turns sitting or laying on my feet. Here is a laugh for you, I always worried when they sat on my feet, what would happen if my big toe got misplaced in their hinnies? I always told everybody I had furry breathing slippers, they thought I was telling a story, but it was true. You can see them on my profile under RL pets Ringo and Roxy. Dog I have now is Rondo aka Ronnie or Runty McGee. Oh Boy my son was annoyed when I started calling his dog Ronnie, he told me to stop doing it. I didnt pay him no mind, LOL. My dogs are like my human kids, they all have nicknames.

Oh Roxy poor girl got a mouth full of dirt once, I was on my knees cleaning out tree beds tossing dirt behind me. Roxy was sticking to me, there was lightning in the distance. Poor girl got a mouth full of dirt, she was panting with her mouth open. She got up spitting and coughing the dirt off her tongue.

So many dogs so little time, I would like to get another. But they have to get along with Ronnie or its a no go. I need to find an easy going dog, that doesnt care about toys and wont try to dominate or intimidate Ronnie. Every time I go to a shelter, I want to open all the cages and let them come home with me.

our county shelter has all pitbulls and chichuahuas

i have my love bird now..bites me like mad cause it is breeding season and she is a year old and right in the thick of it DAMN...
