, I appreciate being named Hugs person this month because I feel like I can use a lot of hugs. This year didn't start out very well as my 87 yr. old sister fell and broke a bone in her pelvis. She lives in the states. I haven't been able to get her on the phone since before Christmas and just found out yesterday why. She refused to have surgery so she is in a care facility in the seniors complex her condo is in. Kills me that she's so far away and so far she hasn't even got access to a phone. They aren't allowed to pass a phone back and forth to people because of Covid. Hoping her son will get her a phone for her room. Big Thank you to whoever nominated me. Group HUG!Love to all.

Thank you for your prayers . My sister's son phoned me and said he's getting his mom's phone in and we had a long talk. He made me feel better. He read her x-ray and said she has a slight crack that he could barely see. He put her in hospice so that way he can visit her whenever he wants to. He tests himself every 3 days for Covid. It would be very painful but they are keeping her medicated so she isn't feeling pain.

Congratulations to for being (((hugs))) person of the month! I'm so glad to read your nephew is getting a phone organised for your sister. She sounds like she has a very strong personality with her refusal to have surgery. Did they want to put a pin in the cracked pelvis? (I'm just trying to guess why they wanted to perform surgery). Was she nervous about having an anaesthetic? Hopefully she is not in too much pain with the fracture, but good to read that your nephew can only see a slight crack on her xray film. What state of the USA is your sister in? I hope she's happy at the facility, but also good that your nephew is visiting her every day and taking necessary precautions! Sorry for so many questions, I even had a few more but culled them! :)

All good here thank you . I've already broken my new year's resolution of no bad food. Somebody brought in bite sized variety chocolates and home made shortbread biscuits to work. I'm very weak! Maybe next year! How are things with you?
