I collect antiques, teaware, dolls, books, and jewelry. and rocks. I have several bjds, a doll with human hair, a rather large collection of antique books (oldest being 1717, though was hollowed out in the 1920's for alcohol. savage.), a victorian hair art piece that is shaped like a bouquet of flowers, and my oldest teacup originates from a ship that wrecked in 1690. Oh, and parasols. and antique lace. I like many things and collect only via opportunity (aka cheap because I ain't wealthy enough to afford otherwise). Basically, my collections are a little bit of everything. Equal opportunity collector.
What kind of dolls do you collect?
Me transmitte sursum, Caledoni!
Pop Funkos - mainly stranger things - and coffee cups and pretty bic lighters!
Pokemon cards- we don't play, I just have a card weakness and love the video games my spouse has gotten me into (mostly Switch ones)~ Rocks and gemstones~ Books- especially books I loved when I was younger but had to get rid of for various reasons over the years~ Stuffed animals- I try really hard to keep this one from spiraling, but I'm such a sucker for 'em, haha~
Squishmallows! Started when I had surgery and discovered how adorable they are, how perfect they are as pillows, and was stuck mostly in bed to hyperfixate on "the hunt" for them for a month lol. Now I mostly just look for the ones that fit the species collections I have, but do sometimes get others just because they're super cute.
Books aren't something I necessarily "collect", but I've also somehow collected a lot of books lol.
I collect high-end bunnies. I only have two so far, but are expensive. It depends on which tier you go for. My two are currently a Red Riding Hood theme and the other has hearts on it and has a crown. I'd love to get a custom bun done, but that will be some day. haha
What I chase and spend money the most is Rock and Read magazines. Sometimes I collect fast food toys with my boyfriend. I started a kirby figures collection but stopped. I also would like to start collecting squishmallows to fill my sofa!
I collect antique bottles and vintage stick pins.
Soda tabs, plushies, and anything with roses as a general collection. More niche stuff is my Hatsune Miku figures (I WILL get that goddess statue one day!), D&D minis, and crystals. I'd love more stuff from the other fandoms I'm in, but my Ultimate Interest (Okami) only has so much merch and I only have so much money to shovel out for it. TwT
“Who are you, that do not know your history?” - Ulysses, Fallout: New Vegas, Lonesome Road.
Video games, classic literature, kuromi related things, horror movies, TCG cards. My wife collects D&D dice and funko pops.
Plants, Soulsborne stuff, Dinosaurs, Magic the Gather Fallout Collection, Pokémon.
I collect something called figural bag clips! They're these bag clips shaped like characters and made of a hard foam. I collect the ones from the anime I watch. They always come in blind bags, but I want specific ones so I buy other people's duplicates second hand on Mercari.
I collect plushies, hoodies, vinyls, comics, fnaf merch, and batman merch.
I collect production art!! it's an expensive hobby but I just got my dream piece last month!!! It actually got away from me once, the same one came back up out of the blue and then I was suddenly outbid.... and then a few weeks later the seller approached me to sell it to me instead!! I'm so happy omg
Plushies. I have squishmallows, random plushies from random places, and my favorites so far are the ones I get from the pet stores. They're meant to be dog toys (assuming your dog won't like, destroy them in 10 seconds) but they're so cute! I have a white unicorn with a rainbow mane, and an orange one with a candycorn horn and black mane. Also a rainbow narwhal. The stores sell them for like $5 and the money goes to local animal charities, and I think they're just so stinking cute.
Also got a black bat with rainbow wings and a skeleton with rainbow bones for like $3 from our local grocery store this year, and a little crow with a witch hat and broom. I've been collecting for over a decade and that's just some recent additions to my already closing in on 3-digit number collection XD
I started collecting Sylvanian Families figurines recently
Dolls, tourist fridge magnets and jigsaw puzzles are the first things that come to mind. Oh, and wearables on this site lol
