I definitely support having this as an option. I love the Legacy Name system, but there are times where it wouldn't really offer any benefit or would do more harm than good. If I hadn't already renamed the tribute pet for my ex and I, I wouldn't want the legacy stuff on that pet.

YES! I have a number of pets I adopted from the pound so had no choice in their name and I don't want to get rid of them so this would be ideal so I could change their name to what I want. :)

Long as this is an option, I'd be happy with it. I like having it on my profile but understand many may not want too.

I would be very happy with the option to permanently remove it. Legacy names don't mean a thing to me, so it'd just save me the hassle of having to hide it off my pets' profiles =D

I have not adopted any of my pets from the pound. They've all been mine since creation. There is nothing to "honour".

I've been just been waiting to rename them until this issue was resolved, as have many other people, not one of whom was expecting that renaming would not get rid of the old name, entirely, forever.

And sure I could make a new pet, but I worked all of them up to the top job in their category, which in many cases involved laying out millions of SP on books read and a not inconsiderable amount of CSC to train them up to the minimum stats for those jobs, since I do not battle.

Also, given how cursed legacy shops were, and how creating "legacy outfits" in March seemed to be the cause of so much going nuts in the wardrobe, and how I now have to remove "legacy hair" from every saved base I created that didn't use salon hair, which was ... all but two of them...

I would be so completely, extremely, unbelievably happy if the cursed word 'legacy' was forever removed from Subeta nomenclature :)

As long as it is optional I am fine with it cause I like the legacy tag on my pets.

It would be nice to have that option for people who don't like the legacy tag but if you implement it, please make sure the chances to remove it by accident are super slim.

I bet some people that are more for IPs and birthdays would like to get rid of a Legacy tag forever, especially when the name doesn't fit the new name at all.

I have a pet I've been wanting to rename, but hadn't come up with anything suitable before the change to unique happens happened.

Now the change has come in, I can give him the name I always wanted for him, but I don't like the thought of him having the legacy name still attached.

I'm totally fine with him not having a legacy name at all. Being able to remove it completely and not having a legacy name URL sounds great.

I'd like an easy way to remove the words 'legacy name' from pet profiles too.
