Oh, boy...I bought a year's worth of online subscription on my Switch, but only played online twice for less than an hour total. I won't regret this, I just don't have time.

And, me and the rest of the household have a long day ahead tomorrow. Our pipes froze over the weekend, and the majority broke. While today we managed to patch up enough to allow a minimal use, we are forced to overhaul the entire arrangement. As well as properly insulate them to avoid this event from occurring again.

Yes, we are in week 2 of record lows. Last night was -35F - actual temp, not wind chill. Tomorrow is supposed to be warm....at 11. 😆 I prefer cool to heat, but this is ridiculous. Has intensified my pain exponentially, so I am not a happy camper in the least.

holy bananas...that cold oh God!!!! My sister in texas is without power for awhile now...they get an hour of power a day..rotations.they WERE happening sunno about now. The cildest i have been in was 60 below INCLUDING the WCfctor...i ahiver here just thinking about YOUR freeze!!!

- Yes! I have a cousin living near Fort Worth, and while she kept her power, even through the rolling power outages, she was without water for nearly 30 hours. They had drinking water, thank the Lord. Sure glad it was only for a little over a day....but sheesh.

Over here in the western tip of Texas, we didn't get negatives but a good 20F freeze. My house did have power the weekend, but our pipes were blown. So we were without water two days.

Oh dear! Sorry to hear about your pipes! Were you able to do any repairs yet? My cousin said she thought the snow was finished falling, at least in her area. Are you supposed to get more low temps tho?

We have been fortunate that only one pipe froze, but did not burst, and that was over at his dad's farm. (We are having to watch his place, as he is still in the hospital.) John wraps them all at the end of Autumn, and it mostly works, but that heating tape has been deemed useless. Now he uses wool from our sheep, and keeps heat aimed at the most vulnerable ones, during the coldest times. This has just been such wonky weather.

Our pipes burst because the shed for the water heater was demolished, so the small amount of heat that would keep them flowing was gone. We were able to repair the mess, and our plan is to rebuild the shed and further insulate the new lines.

Also, I missed the bathhouse on Monday... oh well its no longer so easy. Time to march outside to cut up some firewood, not freezing tonight but we need it for the morning.

Exactly! Whatever ya need to get thru all this mess. We actually warmed up today, thankfully. I was watching the weather portion of the news this morning, and I see we are going to have near 50's next week. WONKINESS!! 😆

I live as far west in Texas as possible. There are many pecan orchards that dump their cut branches, which are free to take. Also our contacts tell us about pine logs they have that are too large to take to landfills.

Cutting and splitting the pieces has been a very consistent therapy.

[Edit] While reading my textbooks, I suddenly remembered what name I want to use for my Graveyard Endeavor. If I'm not able to do so now, it'll wait until March. The name I want is Alex Synthetic, a play on Alec Syntek. Fitting for a machine.

Phew! It took 12 days to get the charger to my address, but it IS the right one :D
