Back in at home learning but we're honestly so burnt out on it at this point. The amount of work they expect these K through 1st grade kids to learn is just insane. I cannot wait until teachers get vaccinated and eventually the kiddos. One day at a time. We're probably slacking too because we were told all students will pass, and they'll do catch up next year. But I know they can't possibly be doing all of this work in an actual class. What happened to coloring, cutting and gluing?

Hello! I'm Devyn! Yeah homeschooling is rough, we are doing it through the school system and I cannot imagine trying to be a teacher right now. But we're currently just watching videos and working from websites and workbooks... they don't offer much guidance on how to make the information stick. And some of the topics are good that they're learning, but way above what a kid that young is going to really understand.

How do you get to that option when ya don't have a lot of events? Know what I mean, Vern?

- Did you and your brother ever have competitions with the game? I remember playing with cousins when were kids - I cannot remember the game tho, but it was new on the market then, and we didn't have one at home. The cousins did tho, and we played each time when got together. Good times!

- we don't always feed the hands - they have their own homes here on the ranch. We are all spread out over 5,000 acres, so getting together is a huge event when it happens. We haven't done anything like that since the Christmas 2019, and I don't foresee anything like that happening anytime soon. :( Such fun tho, because we can go months without seeing some of the folks. Some hands have families, and some are single. Pretty eclectic group of folks here. Each hand/family cares for 100 acres, and the crop or animals on that land. Just depends on what their specialty is, and what they enjoy doing. We are the only ranch like this in our state of Nebraska, and it is a dying breed of ranch. Working ranches are few and far between. Daisy is doing well. Has all her Winter fur and fat, and just happy to be with her mama. :)

We don't even though we live within a mile of each other. But also my youngest brother works outside this city, coming home only twice a month for a week. Also our old systems aren't viable anymore, my PS2 memory died, with it any save I had.
