I'm doing ok. I managed to sleep for 12 hours yesterday and missed work. Not entirely sure how I did that. I'm keeping up with my TikTok upload schedule better than my actual life at this point.

I also missed a Melody day for the first time in 5 or 6 years? I'm disappointed in myself.

Your HA is super cool! I did that once, my alarm beeped for 7 hours!!! I too am keeping up with my (new favourite) app more than my actual life, well, actual bills anyway. Besides, subeta is so much more fun! My first Melody miss in 8? 9? years. I am not disappointed in myself, just that I won't get that achievement, ever. I hate the ones that retire!

Friends, this first day after the fact is nearly over. We spent our time undergoing a massive cleanup of my mother's belongings. We're searching for personal information for the process, and finding quite a bit along the way. Among the findings has been several hundred dollars and documents of hers and our own. Our largest obstacle will be her clothing, I believe the end result could be a more ordered household when we finish.

It will never be the same here, its very quiet now.

Thank you! I got fed up with festive HAs, and everyone loves a bird boy! It's the achievement that annoys me. I can go and buy the item if I want to, but it's a nasty gap in the achievements.

We're pulling through, in the next weeks come the viewing and our final goodbye before her cremation. Whomever is able to come will be welcomed more than normal. Thank you friends for your continued support.

dressing up the HA is a cool idea. What you said about her clothing & belongings made me think about not wanting to make such a fuss about material things like I sometimes tend to do in this life. All that matters to your loved ones when you're gone is the love & memories you left behind.

Day three, little more than a dent in the clutter. In the process we found photo albums, rife with no so forgotten memories. Including shot of us as children and infants. Ultimately we chose to donate all of it, no need to justify anything but some usable furniture.

I can reclaim some pieces I gave to my mother njow that she won't need them anymore. The cleanup of this Superfund site will continue well into January. No fireworks tonight.

- The last time I missed, I had accumulated 578 days....now am on day 78 after THAT fiasco....lol

- I do not envy that work. While it is enlightening and humbling, it is backbreaking work. When my husband's mother passed, we had to clean a house that was full of things for 123 years. Her mama lived there before she did, so it was full of things we had never seen before. Wallets, utensils from the 1800's, and MOUNDS of plastic utensils, because I kid you not, these folks NEVER got rid of ANYTHING. You know the era....."We might be able to use this for something, so we be better save it." But we also found things that brought smiles to our faces, and solidified the love we had for her, like little pictures that my husband had drawn her over 50 years prior, when he was a kid, that she kept. And dresses, accessories from the 1900's and on. So heart wrenching at the time, yet now, 3 years later, allows us to smile. Praying you find the peace, and strength you need to process these things now.

There have been days that I would SWEAR I did it....

Yeah, sometimes it is enough to make ya wonder what the heck is goin on. I did finally bookmark it, and put it at the top. So I knew I would see it each day. Then I subscribed to the forum BH reminder group, so I got a ping each day for that too. I think that is the only way I got in a year.
