Same here. I used to buy in bulk, since we sometimes feed a lot of people. Lost a lot of flour one time, due to those lil rascals. That is when I started freezing it. When I bake, I like to have all ingredients at room temp, so I do leave some out in the screw top canister, otherwise, into the freezer it goes.
How long does cactus fruit stay fresh?
Fresh lasts a few days, chilled some time more. Our patches have for a few months before it falls off or eaten by birds. We have a tendency of eating what we pick the same day.
Nice! I have never tried to save any before. Our yield is so small, we just use it the same day we harvest. Thank you for the info! ❤
Our patches are big, storing any large amount is impractical.
If you haven't seen it, what do you think of my haiku? Very much a guy's version.
Oh how nice to have a large patch! We grafted a few of ours, but they were lost in the floods a few years ago. Might have to try again.
I meant to tell you I loved that haiku! Totally you! ❤
The one left won't run off either.
Sul Sul,
Just breezing through. The Sun finally came out today. It was so nice, even warmed my bones while basking this afternoon ☀
The night shall be clear to view the Leonids tonight!! They are currently at their peak and are very prolific. I will rise at 4am to meet them. Great way to start my Friday.

Last day of shop this month, next will focus on other topics. We were given our grades up to date, me and a few others are "A"s. No word about any kind of final exam. While I rest after this morning, I'm marching outside to sweat disassembling my engine. I'm bored, and still feel wound up after shop.
Lag. screams
[center]"You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy."
Lag didn't explain my data going from 8 to 14 Gigs last night.
I hate weekends, everybody is asleep, nothing I want to do except visit friends. Unless I get a response from a text I sent, its a no go.
I have no idea what you just said. LOLOL That sounds like a good thing to me.
[center]"You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy."
I experienced lag also, but my laptop apparently downloaded a huge update. Oh, I meant it jumped from 8 to 14 used.
Still waiting for a response.
Nice!

Today is probably the last lecture before finals. In that case, I should also look into registering for next spring. Though automotive has limited spaces for attendance. Nothing but make up work the next two weeks.
[edit] Not two weeks, it seems. The site for online homework is undergoing maintenance and upgrades, the assignments are all locked, and my data allowance is spent. So, I can instead focus on a week of rest, and brushing up on the chapter the final will deal in Pistons, Rings, Connecting Rods, and Bearings.
I finally managed to get one of the new talisman items!
Trying to get them all for RubyCrisis.
The prices seem to be going down though, which is nice because there's such a LARGE pool of items to get from the bonfire.

Ooh! I got a few myself, I don't know what to do with them.
Hilarious! I have often heard the classic: Beware of older people.
older people
A 75-year-old man made the trip back to his old college to take one last look around campus again before he settled in to retired life.
As he got to the student quad he saw a young man studying hard, bringing back memories. He sat on the bench beside the lad, but was surprised when the kid started spouting off at him.
“Your generation will never understand my generation,” the kid lectured. “You grew up in a different world. In fact, your world is almost primitive compared to mine,” the student said.
“Is that right?” the elder man said.
“The young people of today grew up with television, jet planes, space travel, microwaves. I can carry a dozen books on a tiny chip in my pocket organizer. We have nuclear energy, electric and hydrogen cars, computers with light-speed processing, and,” he paused to take swig of beer.
The senior took advantage of the break in the student’s litany and said, “You’re right, son. We didn’t have those things when we were young – so we invented them. Now, what are you doing for the next generation?”
Ah, seniors: they may be slow, but they’re thorough!
I guess it depends on perspective, I see right hand waving lol
That's fantastic! I would love to get 10,000 steps in. (My steps meter in the health app switched from steps to KM so I am at a bit of a loss with my stats now). I think 10,000 steps is around 6.5 kilometers? I barely make a third of that. Oh well. Good thing I am on my feet and chasing kids at school :)
