I may have spoken too soon about the conditions here in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Central California. The Creek Fire erupted nearby and it has exploded to 78,000 acres in 24 hours. ( Twitter showing space imagery of the pyrocumulonimbis clouds that have formed.) The tiny town of Big Creek lost many homes, Shaver Lake, a resort town is evacuated as the fire approached the eastern edge of the lake. Over 220 people were evacuated by helicopter after they were trapped at Mammoth Pool, completely surrounded by fire. And the temperatures in the area today were 111 degrees (F). It's supposed to be hotter tomorrow.

Keep the firefighters, safety workers and citizens of California in your prayers. We have had nearly 2 million acres burned in California and that is a record. To make things worse, the official fire season has only just now begun, according to CalFire.

Your HA is so cute! My son had his corona test this morning, he said it was so fast he didn't have time to hold his breath or try that trick with the tongue on mouth-roof. I can't understand how that long stick goes in so far.

Scary about the fires! WOW.

Day 28 a Subeautique invitation.

I'm spending the morning helping my sister's family clean out their garage, and tomorrow finish the yardwork by taking the garage to the landfill.

Otherwise I would take any time to keep up with my automotive homework and other matters.

Except for some math elements and terminology, this reading for engines is mostly familiar information. I suppose as the semester goes on the material would become more complicated.

I'm spending this morning on more clean-up of my sister's house and garage. I also read the shop manual later to begin the review questions.

, : Author and family live in the city (Fresno), so they are safe.

I may downplay my own efforts and abilities, but I see how others view what I do for them. My sister and cousin both have truck driving husbands, and there is a need for extra hands.

I know they appreciate the work, sometimes by paying for full hours or extra money.

I do have another job with my sister, some painting. At least until they get supplies for it.

I KNOW there was another open mouth, but I searched through 22 pages over at Subeta Lodge of just mouths, and I could not for the life of me, find it. Oh well, this one won't be up long enough to worry about it, but I sure like the thought of a wider open mouth. Eh...C'est la vie LOL
