Yes, it is so beautiful! To us here, Grand Island is considered a big city! LOL I grew up in many different places as an Army brat, but I worked in Oklahoma City as a nurse practitioner for almost 20 years. Worked the Murrah Bombing, and then met my husband. One of the saddest times in my lift, and one of the best came a year apart. Anywho, when I moved here it was kind of a culture shock, because while I lived in small towns growing up, this is the smallest by far. There are so many towns here that are much smaller tho. It is scenic for sure, and the closest WalMart is over an hour away, so when we go, we get a LOT. LOL

...I was an Air Force brat...went to 12 different schools by 6th grade...that was rough socially...always being the newbie oddball in class. haha if I could go back and do it all over I'd try to not be the newbie oddball but the newbie mystery stranger with intrigue! haha but don't think a grade school kid could figure that out :) Now that I'm older...a small quiet town sounds wonderful.

I can sure relate to that. When I was younger, I was a loner. I tried to make friends, it just didn't work out. Then in middle school, I blossomed, and really came out of my shell. I enjoyed talking, and never shut up. LOL Now that I am older, I am the best of both. I enjoy close relationships, but am very picky with my friends, and who I let in. I let others talk first, and then begin to open up. This makes for few friends, but they are quality relationships. ♥
