It's been over 2 days since the last update was posted here and the site has only gotten worse in that time.
What the heck is going on?
Hey guys! This is a message from the programmers and staff!
We are continuing to work on the issue, and should have a time for scheduled maintenance posted in the next day or two.
We’ve successfully migrated the code (both the site, and the api) but that has resulted in the DB being in a different location, which is what is causing the lag / downtime, is the round trips. We make a lot of queries (way more than we should) and so that adds up to basically php just queueing up after an hour or so.
We’re figuring out what the next phase is and firefighting while we’re doing that. We do have our own slack channel that we’re all in communicating in hourly, with updates on user issues and server issues and next steps on solving the user issues as they come up. So please don't think we are ignoring this! We are just really trying to work behind the scenes.
We apologize for all this downtime and really hope to have the site back to working soon. Thank you for your patience! We know this is really frustrating especially with the additional real life stuff going on. We hope you are staying safe in the meantime.

I can't be the only one that is getting a chuckle of the "a staff posted on this thread!" ping linking to a page where only a single post is visible, calling out said staff for not bothering to update anyone in several days about the clusterfuck of what the site's fallen to, can I?

Has anyone else found that specialty shop purchases all display the "You are seeing this message to prevent you from accidentally making a duplicate purchase" page now?
I've gotten it with multiple browsers on multiple OSes, so I don't think it's just me, but unlike other recent bugs I haven't seen it mentioned.
I love how I can't check a ticket I made because I'm seriously wondering about the subject with this... absolute mess and I've been trying to open said ticket for TWO DAYS when they're automatically closed AFTER THREE.

The 1st of our 3 days extra time on Masquerade, and you're basically saying that in the next 1 or 2 days there will be another maintenance downtime. The site hasn't even been playable with the lag and errors since Sunday, so we can look at another 2 days like this?
I do appreciate the update, though I'm still too pissed honestly. We've had the site running better and faster years ago. But the last few years this has steadily been going downhill. I've been pumping money into this site for over 13 years. I've always been very active, daily doing most of the quests, participating in literally every event for years. I'm so sad to see what this has become. I haven't bothered with quests pretty much in the last year. The November update and resulting errors already broke something with me. Luminaire was my favorite event, I used to send out hundreds and hundreds of gifts under random trees, but I couldn't be bothered this year. The errors were still there. Then the wardrobe fiasco. Lots of items missing, raging about it, but at the same time, I really can't be bothered to list all of my missing items. Now this. I don't want to leave, because I've invested so much. But there aren't many straws left, the last one is getting in sight.
