Thanks, Bug! Most of my items were returned. I submitted a report for the ones that weren't.
Sorry, I really apologize for the terseness because I'm doing ... exactly what that analogy implies. So, let me take a step back.
A few things:
- I wouldn't assume that the enforcement I'm doing is just because I'm on the thread. It's my job to listen to my staff and to protect their mental health & safety while responding to the forums and just doing their jobs. I need to balance taking critical feedback (which I personally am very open to) and making sure that the folks that you all rely on to power Subeta day to day feel like that is something they can do.
- Building on that - this was a real culmination of a lot of unfortunate events, and the actual act of letting all of those items get deleted was entirely on me. I've also been spending all of my time not only writing code to try to right this wrong but set up bug and the team for success going forward from here from an infrastructure perspective.
- Sometimes, an accelerated version of that process is needed, I think! This is a critical thing and we're trying to problem solve with users while at the same time handling pages of feedback completely unrelated to the root of the problem at hand AND write thousands of lines of code pulling from years of data to try and move as quickly as possible to resolve the problem
- We took the feedback. We built pages to communicate better, we've made improvements to the status page to automatically reflect when things are happening, we've built the status pipeline to twitter and we explicitly said in that post that more information would be provided while we continue to take action on this. I get the frustration, but we moved on the things that we said we would move on and we've got a couple things we're working through to still make more improvements
I'm here to take the criticism for lack of communication, I believe it and that is why I tried to communicate more thoroughly through the change log, and I found that to be really successful and want to do it again for future changes. We're now internally overhauling our task management process to make sure that things don't fall through the cracks. I rebuilt our database infrastructure and now we can go back in time to any moment in the last three months if we need a backup. All of these things we are going to write in another post and walk through the changes we've made (which bug said) and those particular communication issues do not have to do with the update on how users are getting their items, and how to continue to interact with this process.

any word on items that still aren't showing up at all? I moved a bunch of cws back to the wardrobe from my vault after the bug was fixed and account search says they're in there, buuut they're just.. not showing up.

I had that happen with one of my items and I looked it up by name and put it on and now it shows up as normal. Could you try that?

Have you already written a post about this / or had a ticket so that I can dig into it? If not can you let me know one or two of the exact items (feel free to smail/comment me) so that I can look up why its showing up in one place and not the other?

For those who do Subeautique for Achievement, for me it's worse than what said. I have all of these sets complete but the most recent four. I'm missing a ton of items when I visit my Achievement page and open them all up.
they're showing up under the all items toggle when I search for them, but they're not accessible when I'm just looking through the your items section, which is weird. loading a saved avatar which uses some of the items also seems to leave me half naked. :')
I made a ticket about it on the 31st of last month and a ">posted about it in the wardrobe tester thread but I think it got lost in the shuffle.

Big agree to calling out users who are being unnecessarily rude too, tbh. You can be critical without calling people names or attacking them.

I've reported the items i know i had and a few i'm mostly sure i should have had. So heres hoping everything turns out ok for everyone.
A BIG THANK YOU Subeta team, I have been on this site a long time and Subeta is amazing' simply the best. The way I see it if I cant remember what items may be missing then as in real life if you havent worn it for awhile you clear it out so thank you . I love you

Gods bless you guys for that "Hey here's a list of common items missing!" i thought i had done my due diligence, looked through over 3k items one by one from Subetalodge, but i apparently missclicked on a couple - there were some there that i knew i had! Thank you SO SO much for everything y'all, and i hope we move forward from this bigger, better, and stronger.

Looking into the list, I just noticed I have a couple of CWs missing from my wardrobe and have added the to the report... These CWs were released for my Forum Group, so I would really really hope to get them back ❤️

I don't know what I would be missing but 1 of the backdrops on the list looked familiar so I think I had that. I clicked the report button but honestly I'm not 100% that I did have it, but just thought I did. Fortunately I didn't see anything else. List didn't seem very long.
