How's you?
Trying to drink coffee, trying not to eat chocolate candies so early in the morning.
A good morning :) I am having coffee and then I will have real food I think. Apparently we got a ton of trick or treaters last night (we never get any but eh). My mom gave out literally all of the one bag of candy she gave out and was very careful (she'd made 20 goodie bags and then ran out and distributed the rest of the bag itself ). I'm kinda bummed I missed it since I didn't expect any at all.
We have lived here for 14 years almost and have never really gotten more than a few (and also to even get any we have to sit at the end of the driveway because nobody comes to the three apartments in the back). I'm surprised there were so many.
People are going above and beyond because they were told not to. Each year is different here. We more often do get a fair few amount (90-100+), but sometimes it's about 50; and sometimes we only get a handful (this year thankfully only a handful, but usually it's only because it's on a bad weekday or the past ToTers were at that age of it being too kiddish). Sometimes, though, we run out and then have to rush to the shops or turn our lights off. I know the numbers because we hand out the full sized candies, so it's easier to calculate. We usually get 120+ candies, but have gone through over 150.
Y'all are the house we all loved to ToT at as kids ❤️ But yeah, in my grandma's neighborhood she usually gets hundreds and eventually turns her light off (but usually has like...4+ giant bags of candy). This year she got a whole 3 kids that weren't related to us (my cousin brought his daughters). She sat outside with a mask for a long time but her neighborhood was mostly really not about the risk. Meanwhile my city was like "what pandemic".
I am glad that at least some people are still taking things seriously. It sucks a lot of use spent some good amount on candy, but people not risking it is for the better. Next year is going to be a damned rager.
Yeah - I'm glad a lot more people were responsible at least. Even if it wasn't everyone. Next year for sure is gonna be wild.
I'mma go nuuuuuuuuts. Probably not, actually, I prefer low key but who knows.
I just missed the gay bar - we usually go there and it's never wild (we don't go to clubs anymore, just a bar) but it's a fun time.
I have never been a big club kinda guy, I tried when I was 18 but it just... Nah. A bar might be entertaining once in a great while.
We used to love to go dancing. Now we still love dancing but are less okay with all the youths and crowds haha. The bar is fun sometimes and never usually super busy except at holidays. And even then it was still always controlled enough that we could get in and find a seat. Now...who knows haha. We didn't go even though it was open. We kinda prefer the karaoke bar tho now too - it's more entertaining. Or, we did before all this.
Dancing is a lot of fun, but clubs have always just been a big ass meh for me. Iunno how I would feel in a karaoke bar, maybe one day I'll try it.
It's fun to watch. I do not do karaoke myself, I just watch other people do it.
I think that's what I'll do as well, ahahhaa
Just popping in quick. Hope you all had a lovely Moro! and Halloween! If you need any items still let me know! I have lots of extras :D
my city is officially in lock down again as of tomorrow..sigh. There was trick or treating here but I don't think many ppl did it..I didn't see any kids in my area at all. It was snowy and cold anyway. :(
Love may not always be destiny, But a Gift.
