yeah i know I'm so against schools being open as well... and disney... I don't think an amusement park is worth the risks. I honestly think that we should all be keeping to only doing necessary things and keeping at home. I'm hoping to convince them to not go but honestly I don't think I can sway this. -sighs-

If the government had been more proactive (state and federal) and actually helped everyone for real with some freezes on mortgage/rent/interest/bills/etc and ordered us all to stay home for 4-8 weeks, we probably could've contained this to the point where it would be manageable if/when cases cropped up. I get that we're big but there were paths to getting this under control and they just...actively undermined any efforts. And because of that, it's fallen on those of us who are responsible to try our best to stay home and protect each other and I'm sorry that that's all being risked for you.

I am sure they miss your brother, I totally get it - I've barely seen my sister because her fiance has been essential this whole time so she's basically self-quarantined to protect everyone else (and her fiance was stressed about even coming home to her and tried to talk about staying away or sleeping on their sofa instead of sharing their room). It's a shitty situation all around.

Yeah it doesnt' help that every State has had different approaches either. Honestly I don't feel this has been handled correctly. Me too. I've done so much to keep us all safe and I don't feel this is safe. Even sanitizing restaurant toilets is a risk. Masks are a risk... the safe thing is stay in. -sighs-

It sucks and I agree it's crappy. I think responsibility and sacfrice is needed--even though it hurts so I totally get it. There's like well I want to do X but... And how do you know which risks are really worth it? it's so hard.

SO MANY SKELLIES. That's not including all of the non-bone colors. Rainbow is on site already. I have dark pink, black, white (Calaca set), and a special version finished. I plan on doing one of each color, at least.

i've been good! work has been... draining because of the pandemic, and the fact that all of my shift leads annoy the fuck outta me now that my fav one went on maternity leave 😔 BUT i do only (usually) work two days out of the week, cus they cut our hours, and it's enough to pay the bills so i really don't care that much :')

Boo for weekend work but yeah, that's still much better (only two days) rather than a lot.

I've mostly...been working. My job figured out how to kinda go mostly online for our customers so I've been back to work since early August? Something like that. I'm not excited to be there and most of the rest of our employees (including my mom and grandma) lost their jobs permanently from there so it's been...a fun struggle sadly.

oh no :c that really sucks; were they given any particular reason on why they were let go?? (and yeah, work right now, no matter where it is, just. sucks. everything really sucks rn 😓 )

They've reduced the overall number of employees. Only brought back a tiny amount of us. It sucks a lot =/ (everything really does - I'm holding out hope for things to improve next year for everyone)

yea 😔 it wouldn't be nearly as bad if i wasn't dealing with 100+ people in-person whenever i do actually have to work, and 60% of the time they walk into my store not wearing masks :/ i can't even tell them to get one either, since our company wants to "treat everyone like customers no matter what"???? like. they either wear their masks or i restrain the urge to call them 'plague rats' to their faces. i hate corporations so much dshgfdhdf

I feel you. I'm glad most of our in-person business has tapered off, but we have a repeat customer who has had covid and keeps coming in after hospital stints and I'm like...is murder still illegal? Corporations are the fucking worst I swear.
