oh man..they made you go back to the office?? that sucks!! I am very thankful that my work has had me working from home now since March...and they are not going to force anyone back to the office. It's not the best in my tiny apt...but I prefer it over taking a public bus to work, plus the work office life is very diff anyway...not exactly a norm.

It's thanksgiving here next Monday..and we are limited to indoor groups of 10. So any big fam dinners are out. Mom and I plan to have dinner with her one brother and his fam..will be 7 ppl max. And all of us have been basically home bound for weeks..so I think we'll be ok.

I'm just so tired of 2020....

We all got temporary layoffs until July, then they rehired me and one other person (who didn't even use to work in the office but did other stuff for the company) and didn't rehire anyone else (including my mother and grandmother). I'm...really not happy tbh. I'm glad you'll get to spend some time with family though at least!

Yep - for the bout of time I didn't have insurance I was like "well, if something happens it happens because I cannot afford any of that, we are not going to the hospital." I have my state insurance active again but I'm still like...listen, we have to be careful because they may not cover this.

Unfortunately there's a lot of ageism in hiring. My grandma could maybe get a job through like Walmart because they often hire the elderly, but they give them shit hours and pay so they can scoop up the government bonuses for hiring them. My mom is not old enough for that to help her get a job but too old for most places to even call her back =/

I'm glad you're getting done the stuff you want to. It's definitely a tough year especially with all the additional changes.
