I only bought the Shinwas Temple Shard. Yes, it is really expensive, 29M sP. But I liked it for no! I am only in tier 9 so xD

Which defense weapon do you prefer after tier +10?

What other weapons do you use in your set? (Also why don't I remember your name change?) Stuff like RV and STS are very useful against opponents where healing is disabled or for pets I would say below T11where you are less likely to fill the 8th slot with a third weapon. I would also say absolutely worth it when you have multiple battle pets since it is great for smaller tiers when weapon options are limited

I typically use scrolls to full or partial block with my weapons. However, the shard or rv are worth buying imo if you have multiple battle pets at different tiers. It has a much longer use life then.

You definitely need a better constant. For your T9, I recommend the aftershocks scroll and for your T3 I recommend the lights of sprites scroll. Lights of sprites is a genetech combo you make out of tattered scroll pieces you win from eclipse, willowisp and PSR at win 200. It's a lot of wins for each but your T9 can do it and it will be cheaper than buying the scroll.

For defensive scrolls, the void and spacial abyss are the best. However, they cost a ton of AP and are expensive. Cobalt eternal and sancturia exodin are good partial block scrolls you can combine with weapons for better coverage.

Thanks!!

The costs 71.5M and it heals 7%. My pet has only 1400. It means 100 hp. It think it is a quite expensive no? :/ Cobalt Eternal Scroll 5.5M > sounds really nice to defense. I think that I will buy 1 or 2 maybe

You are not just buying it for the heal, but for everything it can do. The aftershocks scroll is infinite use so it will not break during battle. It blocks 7 earth, 5 dark and 5 physical icons and deals 22 icons of damage. That is a lot for an infinite use scroll. The heal combines with weapon heal. You will only heal for 7% if none of your weapons have heal, which is better than no heal. Essentially after shocks does a little bit of everything - block, attack and heal. Are you familiar with how defense and attack icons work when combined with your pet's strengths and defense ?

Oh ok! I understood what you mean, but it is quite hard for me understand these "icons". I mean, when you say "blocks 7 earth" it is another language for me ahha Of course I understand that means I will get less damage on my pet. But it is difficult for me to quantify.

Ok let me give you an example to show you what I mean. Battling very rarely is only about heal. Attack and block icons are how effective a weapon is with your pet's strength and defense. If your pet has 1k strength, it doesn't do 1k attack. There's a formula for defend and attack in the in depth guide in the battle coliseum.

Compare aftershocks with Terra focujin (TF), another infinite use scroll. TF heals for 10%, only does 4 attack icons and no defense. I made the assumption that your pet's strength, defense and health are all around 1400. For heal, TF will do 140 hp and aftershocks will do 98. TF looks pretty good until you factor in defense and enemy attack. Looking at just the scrolls and not your main weapons, aftershocks will provide 159 icons of defense for your pet while TF provides 0. Assuming an enemy attacks you with earth, dark and physical, you will take 117 less damage using aftershocks instead of TF. The effectiveness of the heal on aftershocks becomes greater because it has added defense. If an enemy attacks you with anything other than those icons, then the defense doesn't matter. Attack wise, your pet will do an additional 196 points of damage using aftershocks and only 36 using TF.

Wow! I used the formula that you mean that is in guide and I finally I understood how I turn the icons into total damage. lol I am feeling like a newbie in subeta lol. Well, that it isn't so easy to understand! And I am an industrial engineer lol (I work only with numbers!).

Ok! I think that I finally understand better about it.

Just one more question: if you have a scroll that blocks 5x earth and 5x ice and you have another one that blocks 10x magma for example. It only depends about the opponent right? Or it will be the same?

I too am an industrial engineer :o

Depends on who you are fighting. Blocking 10 magma means nothing if your opponent doesn't attack you with magma

Oh really? ahah where are you from?

The oponents atacks are always with the same weapons?

For example the Pete (https://subeta.net/petinfo.php?petid=875098#/BattleGuide/Pete) I was looking his weapons and it doens't atack me with earth icons, so it means if I have a scroll that only block earths icons it's worth nothing. It is right?

Correct! Opponents have weapons that do all different icons, that's why it's always good to have a variety in your set. Using Pete as an example, you can see all of his weapons and how much of each icon they affect. Pete can so dark, physical, fire and light. Most of his weapons will do physical, fire or light, so you will want to try and block at least two of those icon types. Damage will of course get through from what you can't block, but that's where heal comes in

I gave a more detailed answer here: Planning for the Endgame (T10+ Guide) OUT OF DATE

But the gist of it is that as your pet gets stronger, OPB defensive items get weaker. Blocking all icons for 1 turn out of 5 is a lot better than blocking all icons on 1 turn out of 20 or 1 turn out of 60 turns. I use 4 slots to set up and blast, 2 constants, and then Pquill and if I'm making a default set, i'll usually leave in a third constant for fast switches or reviver of the lion for the last slot. And thats mostly just to fill the slot, my Pquill rarely gets used, let alone a second healer.

If the 1 handed curse fights were more common, and the curses happened less often in an indivitual battle, they could potentially be useful in those fights, since you can predict when you are going to need a defensive spike. Also if they could block curses, and they did more spikey damage with curses that would make them a lot better as well.

But right now they are only good against no heal challengers, and there are only a handful of those on the site, and many of them are super low tier and can be overcome with stats, and CEtT is the only one that has a time-sensitive need for STS/RV vs just over statting it and saving 150mil.
