All right, got some actual free time this morning, let's beat up some hydras.

Step 1, Daniel gets to easily slaughter all of them:

Easy. Big guy was a bit time consuming, but not a threat.

Step 2A, go do my BQs with Severus, that little bit of extra EXP might make a difference.

Step 2B, see how far Severus can get against the hydras. He should be fine against all but the last, not sure how that one will go.

Yep, he stomped the first four. Managed one win against the big guy relatively easily but it's looking like that might have been a fluke, struggling to even get close to a second. Oh well.

Any tips would be appreciated. He's mid-tier 12, his current setup is freeze first turn, double blast second turn, plink away with Cronus/Natasha. Main scroll is aftershock, I have a couple cobalts/GotFs and a void. Pretty sure I'm doing all the right things and his stats just aren't quite there yet but maybe someone knows something I'm missing.

In the meantime, I'm going to stop procrastinating and turn in a bunch of battle tokens for stat boosters and throw them at him.

Well, that was worth it. Hasn't really made a difference against 8-heads though.

The battle is a lot easier or harder depending on what you blast. This is a RNG needs to be in your favor challenger if you don't have perfect weapons/spells or if you are trying with under powered pet. Worth trying a few times before deciding if it's possible to get wins or not.

Oh, I have. 1 win and 11 losses so far - only one of those even got him below half health. Some were unlucky crits I couldn't do anything about but the rest I just wasn't doing enough damage and ran out of healing. Might have to wait for next time.

battle achievements have been working normally for me I think? You should probably file a ticket if that's not the case for you. Normally they should activate without visiting a specific page.

Congrats! Trident is a very useful weapon for your final set as well, but if you're planning to keep battling, ideally you should have one top tier weapon for each element, so picking up Natasha and Ether will be necessary in the long run (see also here): Earth -> OHS Physical -> Ether Fire -> Natasha Wind -> your Trident (or Swashbuckle) Magma -> Cronus Blade Ice (and Magma) -> Unstable Sample Syringe Dark -> Manical Essence Water -> Manifesting Weapon Light -> Dark Goddess Rod Once you have all of these, you can mix and match depending on the opponent, and will be able to beat all of them (assuming your pet is T12/T13).

I was into battling a few years back so pretty much had to dig through my hoard but they're all there... and for some reason all modded with the parched crystal ^^;

perfect! Certainly much easier if you don't have to get all of them at once (like me 😅). Also, parched crystals are the best :D You prepared super well!

All pets done with the hydras. I'm happy with their results.

2 pets got their 10 wins on the 8-headed hydra 8/10 pets with wins on the 7-headed hydra, 3/10 pets with 10 wins 10/10 pets with 10 wins on the remaining hydras.

Nah I tried with my T11 and it's like hitting a brick wall. You can't do enough damage to overcome the hydra's heal and defense. My T11 is also a new T11 so maybe if you are high T11, but then I would just boost to T12

The best thing to blast is the hydra's raging inferno since it boosts its stats

- Yeah, my T11s are higher T11s, but they are dumb and have stupid builds, so they probably won't stand a chance. I forgot about the hydra's dumb scroll block, yeah, probably can't outlast his monstrous base 30000 health without getting crit in the number of turns it would take to chip him down to nothing.

Pylot was doing about 370 damage. I was like, well then... xD maybe next year champ

I might have a new record for worst luck with the mage.

Turned in 30 amulets today, for one, single, tome.

So apparently I managed to the beat the 8-headed Panzer last year/year before (?)... but 365 days later i'm like how does battling work? XD

I beliieveee i'm close to T12, so I can try that. :o See if I can make some progress, but my pet's health is probably not high enough.
