Hey guys! Does the Malerias Clawed Glove still work to make your pet hungry? Have I remembered the wrong item, is it broken?

Still no event challengers? 😩 😭

We didn't get them until near the end of Survival last year. But sometimes they do skip event challengers, I don't think we had any during Masq last year.

Also, I'm sure I saw something about Hoarfrost not happening this winter, but maybe I just dreamt it. Not that I would care that much because none of my pets stand a chance, but I know other users were asking for it to happen. Was it in a news comment or something?

it's just that they have been skipping a lot of challengers lately (Unstable Snow Fairy, Hoarfrost), so I'm not exactly hopeful. I remember users asking about Hoarfrost, but I never saw any staff addressing this. Can you remember where that was?

Were you using it on the pet your tryig to feed or a different pet?

[edit] I just did a small test, and its doing something. I got the proc 2x and now a bunch of my pets are at 9/10 happiness despite having minions, and pets I haven't fed in years have 1/10 hunger and are popping up in my battle list.

Not sure if it's setting those pets to 1, or if its trying to reduce 0 to -1 and then the code is glitching out since subeta code does some weirdness when you set certain fields negative.

I just did some more tests, and it still works. But it doesn't affect your battle pet, it definately affects your OTHER pets, so your going to need a second t6 pet to do it.

You’re correct that I was using it with my battle pet, I haven’t used it for like 4 years so didn’t clearly remember how it functions :) I’m pleased to find out that it does actually still work, got a bunch of t6+ so that’s no issue!

I was probably getting a reset more than once a minute for free off the MCGs by going up against Aboxalypse, after grinding out like 100 wins and then using no scroll and a shield as a second weapon.

You don't even need to finish the battle. You just watch for the message that says that it proc'd and every 5-10 times I saw it I would refresh the pet page to see if Captain's hunger dropped.

I was kinda surprised how easy it was. I remembered it being a much bigger pain to do before.

I'm hoping that if we don't get Survival challengers, then we'll still get Masquerade challengers.

Maybe that is why we have been missing out on challengers!
