Thank you for the ping! I've been reading the Cash Shop books and Melodies books to my two main battle pets but I haven't double checked either pet's intelligence. I've spent a ton sP on those recently but now I am worried because I have not noticed either going up an alchemy point or Tier. I sure hope Subeta staff has been alerted. 0.0

I've been reading, toming and boosting intel. None of my pets have dropped to zero AP but who knows if I'm getting my points correctly. I've been here for 12 years and this is the first time I can't play the site outside of all out crashes/lag from hell. Gotta say this is both frustrating and depressing the site is so broken.

Wow, this is very scary. Plus how frustrating for you to not be able to be able to get a better position at the job agency. My battle pet has over 1400 intelligence points, of which it lists books actually read as 1398. It took me years to get him to Deputy Director at Sai in the job agency. I have no clue if all those Melody books and holiday books he read lately were a waste of effort or not.

Wow guys, I had no idea there had been any other responses or posts on here as I'd not received any notifications, so thank you all for coming in and sharing - I didn't realise it was a known issue and it was only luck I decided to try for job agency promotion and noticed intelligence wasn't increasing.

I'd have thought the stats would have been in plain view somewhere and I honestly felt like a right fool for even posting in the first place!

Hope this gets sorted before too long, especially as I think it's affecting you guys more than it is me, so fingers crossed it's sorted out soon.

OMG! I have no way of knowing if I was shorted or not! I've been on a boosting and reading spree with several pets. Thanks for the heads up! At least I can throw on the brakes until it is fixed... I'm just bumming about the 100 million or so I blew on pets that may have been compromised...

If you remember for a fact what book(s) you've read to your pet, you can do an account search for the specific book(s) and see if it's listed as being read to a pet. I've done some spot-checking with the batch of books I've read to my pet, and so far all the ones I've searched for are popping up.

I have a feeling that whatever this bug is, it's only affecting intelligence levels, and not the list of books read, but I haven't gone in-depth with my double-checking. I've still stopped reading to my pet, since I don't want to aggravate anything.

I'm a bit annoyed that there wasn't an announcement about this. It's kind of a huge deal, particularly for battlers, and my pet has read enough books that any new ones are fairly valuable/rare, so I don't want those to be wasted. :/

Good suggestion, I'll do that. Thankfully I've not read many books really to anyone besides Elfric lately. I think Hanji is the only other one I read something to. I almost went on a book splurge the other day to get my other battle pets' intel up, but I'm glad I didn't.

Sure is odd that i can read books and my intelligence will not change.Not even on my pet. :P And no i don't remember what books i read, i don't have any intelligence so how can i remember?

I read 10 books and earned all applicable intel and my intels right where i expected. No lag at the time of reading.

Also used one of the following and gained the correct intel: [item2=tome of ice] [item2=shinwas key] [item2=Shinwas Sealed Scroll of Dark Magic] [item2=Shinwas Flower of Morning]

thank you for posting with this. This wasn't being made public the way it should have been and if it hadn't been for your question more people might have lost a lot of time, effort, Sp, and real money.

Basically, programming staff are still looking into it as of 2:13 subeta time. I haven't received confirmation from the ticket I submitted that anything is officially resolved yet.

UGH I just discovered that one of my pets has apparently been hit with this bug. Fortunately, it's my newest pet so I haven't read him that many books yet but this sucks.

i'm nosy so i took this pet's books read and read them to one of my own babies, noctivagant. Intelligence: 58 Books Read: 58 obvs i probably didn't read them in the same order, but i'm part way through doing the same thing with a different pet (reading 's jill valentine's book list to my pet xainfried) and that one hasn't broken yet either.

the biggest difference i can spot between noctivagant and caesium is that caesium is trained (lvl, str), and noctivagant is not (noctivagant also doesn't have a minion or job). any chance were you putting your bud into the training center while you were reading to it, or did you use boosters?

So far, the only bugged pet I've found is

All I can tell you is that I've read him books, he has been in training and has a job so he may or may not have gained an intelligence point from the job, and I haven't used any stat boosters for sure because I reserve those for my battle pet. Obviously, I wasn't paying very close attention to his stats since apparently the intel was cleared 35 books ago (which was probably a few weeks ago), so I'm afraid I have no idea what action specifically may have led to that.

Bug, is there any way to find out what his stats should be? If not, can you at least make his intel match his books read (that's close enough)? Or should I file a ticket for that? Thanks!
