@/Bug I think it would help to list some examples or perhaps pose a question. There are obvious examples that I think most people could understand, like if you gained sP or extra items through a glitch (and it doesn't hurt to say these things too), but the thing I found doesn't fit that. What I asked myself when I made the ticket to report my own thread was:
Did it seem like the programmers intended it to be this way? Could it possibly be used to hurt/bother/harass others? Would things get a little chaotic if other people knew?
And yeah, the answers were all 'yes'. One of them was a bit of a stretch, but was still a 'yes' to a determined person.
I could also sMail you more details about what I found (as far as I know, you already removed the ability to exploit it) so you could get a sense of my feelings at the time? But hopefully, this helps a bit!
"If you have found an exploitable bug, please click here to file a ticket.
Exploitable bugs are bugs that can be used to gain an unfair advantage in the game, or bypass certain important features. For example, duplicating items or currency, bypassing the blocking system, or obtaining unusually high game scores without even playing the game are considered exploitable bugs.
All other bug reports should be posted in the Problems and Bugs Forums."
I'll leave it up to you to decide if a note on glitch/exploit abuse can result in a warning or a ban is necessary or not, but I hope the example helps a bit!
:o Wow. I hope the new page puts a stop to that then! It must have been such a waste of time and efficiency to get all those dud tickets.
oh, this is cool. I was always worried I was using the wrong category 99% of the time.
Based on continuing feedback, we have improved the language of the "I want to report a bug" section. The ticket creation page has also been tweaked to be more readable/aesthetically pleasing, as well. :D
thanks. I was confused about 'exploit' as I dont know if asking for a reset of auto pricing could be seen as exploitive if the staff dont have a backlog of if you have autopriced before and I didnt want to be That Guy seemingly looking for a free autoprice again.
the term exploit was too vague, as you could get manipulative people reporting bugs for monetary gain. I admit my paranoia warps my brains logic but that's how I felt and seeing as though tickets are trying to be lessened I didnt want to 1. be suspect because I didnt see s thread and felt uncomfortable feeling like I was the only one with the issue which leads me to 2. not wanting to bother staff with something inane.
it's much better now but I hope seeing my view on it sheds some light as to how it could be unclear in some aspects. you will always get those who are dishonest, not deleting duplicate items when the site hiccups or whatever, yknow?
it would of been nice to have staff input on the suggestion thread pertaining this, though.
