So sorry to hear about your cat. :( That is unusual that the vet will not euthanize your cat as it sounds like he is not doing well...I have worked in the veterinary and shelter industry for many years and I have never heard of a vet refusing to put down an obviously sick cat. If your local vets are unwilling to do it, you may look at a shelter vet or perhaps contact some local cat rescues to see if they have any recommendations as to a vet that can assist you. Hugs to you and your kitty through this hard time.

Pam, I am sorry to hear that your Cat isn’t doing well. Why would a vet just let an animal go through so much suffering is beyond me!!! Not only does the poor animal suffer, the pets humans suffer also!! When one of our cats was going through kidney failure, our vet was fantastic! They let us spend as much time with her as we wanted, they let you do it in a dimly lit room with nice chairs, just really a calming environment. When you are ready, they give your pet some medication that calms and relaxes them. Then, when you say your final goodbye, the next step is to give the pet to the vet. As it turned out, our Sassy,s stage of failure was worse than we thought, just the medication to calm her was enough... She died peacefully in our arms. :( See if your vet will at least prescribe something to calm your cat. (((Huggs)))

I hope anyone that lives in Florida is safe from the hurricane.

Georgia, and, the Carolina’s are now threatened too! This appears to be a massive hurricane! Let’s just pray that it looses a lot of its strength! Stay safe if you are in or near these states! Also, can you believe ANOTHER mass shooting, this time in Texas. So far there are 5 dead, 22 injured :( This has gotten waaay out of control! Is this near you ? Or any other members?

The storm is definitely bad I hear. Sweetlily_3 told us about the shooting.. so sad to hear. This morning I heard there was a shooting before this one. It's so sad.

My mom and sisters are in Florida. But i've been in contact with my mom today and they're doing fine so far, staying with a friend. I'm living in NC. >.< We actually literally just heard gunshots very close to our house, it is common to hear gunshots in my area but i've never head them this close, but we are fine. I'm just waiting to hear what happened.

Oh no, one of my very close friends is in Texas right now visiting his family... I will have to check in with him again. He was going to the same walmart the first shooting in el paso was, and something happened so they just happened not to go that day.
