Maleria used to be a challenger once upon a time, the battle admins removed it because it didn't make sense for users to be able to beat a goddess, she was replaced with MaFa. I highly doubt she will ever come back as challenger.

How do you know that? There isn't loot in the directory yet, and also it might be for another month, though I guess this month makes sense since it's still summer. I really hope we find out what that item is for soon...

Are there any others for the rest of this year's challengers? And maybe other challengers too? Maybe this unknown item is for a plot or event after all. I don't know what else it could be for.

When is the next friendly challenger due out? I can never remember these things.
Fantine was out on June 13th and Moana came out on July 20th so it could be any time now :P
Well, by any time, you probably mean a week from now. ;P
I think last month's Friendly Challenger was delayed because of the Gelatin War and stuff, I don't know about this month.

If it is in fact Delphi that this month's challenger is from, which would make sense because of the summer theme, then what is that unknown item in the directory for? Are they adding it as something new you can steal when fighting the Gate Keeper? Is it related to a plot or event? And I'd really like to know when we're getting the Darkside challenger since there's only 3 NPCs it could be, 2 if Maleria isn't included.

Yeah, there's not really a set schedule this year like there was for last year. But it seems like in general the NPC challenger is released in the first half of the month, and the CS challenger is released in the second half/towards the end of the month.

Has been really great to have Goals again, for sure:) Busy at work currently, but got to pay the bills.. hehe, otherwise I would be on here alot more!
AU is primarily a physical blocker so its replacement would be The Ether. It also blocks some light/dark as well, which is probably why she used AU over Ether.
For scrolls, I would use Aftershocks as your infinite scroll. Since he can’t be frozen past the first turn, I would start with one Shriek of Despair or Psycho Smasher, then fill the rest of your AP up with Cobalt Eternal or Sancturia Exodin for defense, and Gift of the Forj for some extra heal if you have any.
He has a slight chance of freezing you so be sure to mod your constants with at least one parched baguette. I would also add at least one critical strike to each of them as well and the final two slots can be your choice.
