So we're still doing Friendly Challengers? That means there's still a chance for certain NPCs I'd like to see as challengers becoming challengers. I don't know if there will be a specific theme or not for me to work out who else might be involved though. And it might tie in more with whatever the Cash Shop theme is this year.

Keep trying...I had to go back. He will pop up before you click the sign that takes you to the Glade itself. You just need to go to the field

Hm, maybe I'm wrong. Unless the other NPCs involved also have different appearances.

Also, this is the first NPC with a surname as part of their account name. I wasn't sure if the staff would do that or not.

It is supposed to start battling? I never been to this event xD

I guess I'm sitting and smacking Blake 75 times this afternoon, then.

I think the admins are going to regret the way they've phrased this, a lot of people seem to be getting their hopes up that it's some sort of plot instead of just being a story tying the usual monthly challengers together.

It's not really an event, it's just the same sort of monthly challenger thing that we've been getting for the past couple of years. It's not a plot, just the challengers and some extra lore/story connected with them, but there's nothing else really to do other than battling.

Yeah, I know it's been partially cleared up in the comments, and the title of the news post is just "Friendly Challengers", but people do tend to get way more excited and hoping that something is a plot. It is cool to get some extra lore and stuff, but it seems like too many people are not realizing this is just the same thing that we've been doing for the past few years just with a different theme.

It does seem to be an interesting theme, although I do kind of wonder if it's just going to be different versions of Blake for 12 months or if he'll bring some of his friends along and we can fight them too lol.

No problem! I know the text kind of implied that it could be a new event, but it's just the new theme for the year seems like it will be Blake going on various expeditions every month, like how last year the theme for the Cash Shop challengers was the Wizard's magic causing food to come alive in the different lands.

I'm guessing the Cash Shop challengers this year will end up being related to whatever Blake finds on his adventures, but we should find out for sure later this month.

I think it would be funnier if it was just Blake in 12 different and increasingly silly hats :P

That would be funny, especially if he ends up being like randomly different difficulty levels too lol, like certain outfits make him stronger. :P

Anyway, it's always cool to get a bit of extra lore, and the descriptions for the loot items were pretty good too.
