Alright, I'm late, but here's all my thoughts on these new things at the moment.

I think the monthly challengers this year will either be Blake with different "jobs" based on the areas he's looking for these ancient pets, or there will be other NPCs with different "jobs" that decide to join in with Blake's new adventure, but probably not too big of a change to their appearances because it would be hard to redraw them that way. And then I think the ancient pets will be the Cash Shop challengers, similar to how 2018 had the Cash Shop challengers were based on the fears of the regular monthly challengers, and the 2019 Cash Shop challengers were sort of tied to the lands the regular monthly challengers came from (except for November because they wanted to do a Thanksgiving thing).

Judging by the descriptions of Farmer Blake's loot, I think the first Cash Shop challenger will be based on a Bovyne.

As for main plots, I would love to see a Survival plot, especially if it does go more into Gunter and his brother, I would like to know how Bubbles became a zombie, was he already infected when he died or is there another way to become one? But with all these site issues going on, I doubt it. Maybe for Neugarten instead? I hope Masquerade doesn't have a plot this year because I might be going away for the last few days of it and I don't know if I'll have internet access, I know plots usually give users some extra time after the end to finish it but still.

So I'm fine with there not being any big plots for the first half of this year, and any new lore being delivered in other ways. I'll take whatever lore I can get.

time!! Battle Quest

Today's a battle grinding day. Maxing out a few opponents with Numair, getting a few more tomes and amulets (and the pieces for another cold blast scroll). Current goal is to maybe get him to t12, not that he's very close yet, and then start splitting BQs between him and the next one down - Danil, currently t9.

Truth, there's a reason that smaller animals like goats and sheet were domesticated before cattle, wild moos are some bad mamajamas.

But I would be soooooo into an ancient Bovyne pet color, I need a fierce bull for my Catalhoyuk pet.

I'm skeptical about a 'prehistoric' colour, I am reminded of the neo tyraninan colour, and most of those just looked dumb...

Ours would be cooler, no silly clothing.

Tbf, considering how dumb sheep are, yeah, that's no surprise. At least goats are kino.

Well now they are, but wild sheep, bighorns, I still wouldn't want to dick around with.

- Yeah, there is a reason we bred modern cattle into a species that would legitimately go extinct if there weren't humans to take care of them., cus otherwise we wouldn't be able to handle them. Thankfully subeta's Bovynes look like they are actually adapted for survival.

Yeah I wouldn't even. Haha! Tierzoo on Youtube does a lot of fun videos looking at various members of the same species, and how they're adapted to 'survive the meta' if you will. Bighorns naturally rank very high.

Only bones allowed are ones held in the mouth of a top apex predator like the Velosotor or Mortiking. I personally want to see if Blackmoon's Cadogre and Endeavor are actually based on extinct species. Wouldn't surprise me if he made a discovery somehow and is keeping everything for himself.

Hoarfrost is back! w00!

Numair isn't able to take out Frosty yet. Time for Occlumens to do his thing. According to my notes Hoarfrost's worth smacking around 25 times.

I have Frosty unlocked (can't remember how I did that...), but I don't think Haneul is ready anyways.

And looking at Occlumens stats...I think I'm right..

Hoarfrost is t12+. Occlumens is capped, there's a big gap between him and the rest of my pets.

What weapons are you guys using against Hoarfrost? I've managed to get 2 wins so far, but now I'm struggling to get a 3rd. ;~;

- Yeah, Hoarfrost is a pretty big baddie, I think there are some crazy people who have gotten wins with T11s, but need optimal conditions/weapons.
