If you have any interest in training more than one pet, CS challengers are a great bargain because you only need to unlock them once per account :D So I always buy them all whenever they release as well. But if youre a newer battler and cant quite defeat all the opponents yet, it might be worth saving that CSC to go towards weapons/scrolls/intelligence upgrades instead. Challengers do come back at least once a year, so its not like theyre gone forever ^^

The other T5 healer I had in my armory is the , obviously a lot cheaper than the wands but you will really want a reborn freezing wand later. Well fall is starting soon at the MC so you could get the lantern! It does also unlock Cursed Effigy, but as I recall it uses up the item when you unlock the challenger. So you have to buy 2 if you want the bomb and the challenger. It's not really necessary though. :)

Do you have a ? It's a budget item to use before you get Soma. Kinda of like a mini bomb with healing and a chance to both freeze and steal. :D

So you could do as a base set, tweak as needed. I donno for sure if these are the two best main attackers but I personally like to pick one that at least has some healing on it. And I lean towards things that can freeze haha so I'd lean towards the wand and either the kusarigama or throwing knife. Thanks for the suggestions! I grabbed the Freezewand (at 125% eek), decided against the Lantern, and picked up the UltimaPlus to try out as well. Hopefully the new set helps me beat Maybel in the BQs, I always waste my skips on her!

Finished at 17 wins on Careapier, pretty happy. Next appearance is in December so not too long a wait.

in my messy Notepad file of Subeta stuff I have this copied and pasted:

Easy - Amulets at wins 50 and 100, Tome at 150 Medium - Amulets at 25 and 50, Tome at 75 Hard - Amulet at 25, Tome at 50 Very Hard - Tomes at wins 15 and 35 Extremely Hard - Tomes at wins 15 and 25 Impossible - Tomes at wins 10, 15, and 20

There are amulet and crystal drops past this but at that point I personally don't consider the effort to be worth the reward so I didn't bother saving that info (except Eye of Royalty crystals, those drop from Impossible opponents at 25+ wins). Carl is Very Hard difficulty.

OMG...that is exactly the sort of thing I have been looking for when it comes to tomes and amulets. I know the loot drop spread sheet has that info, but that is so useful. How far have you gone with Carl?
