Good on you for adding the broth. If the bland diet isn't helping by tomorrow, you really should have him checked out. Did you boil the chicken? Boiling gets all the fat out of it. Any other way of cooking it won't. Even if it turns out to be stress-related, he may need some meds to help firm up his stools again. How old is he? What kind of dog? Poor thing, I do hope he feels better soon!

Just allow it to work and don't let him lick it off for a good 10 mins. I've never heard of Well & Good Dog Anti-Diarrhea Liquid, so I looked it up to see what the ingredients are. Kaolin is a natural mineral used for diarrhea, so it won't hurt to try it. The thing is, he may need something stronger. Definitely go with the boiled chicken and rice tomorrow. Also, be sure to check his mucous membranes for tackiness. If you lift his lip and touch it, does your finger stick? If so, he's getting dehydrated. Another way to check is to gently pull up on the loose skin on the back of his neck and let it drop back down. If it snaps back immediately, he's okay. If it's slow to go down, he's getting dehydrated. If it stays up, he needs to go to the vet!

He seems to be doing better. He has only pooped twice today, and it's more brown now than yellow, and not nearly as watery. And he made it through the night! I'm hoping he'll be even better tomorrow.

Manda, I think it's okay to take him. Maybe ask to bring home an article of clothing from her. That way he's got something to sleep with that has her scent on it. It might help. Just a thought.

That's a much better alternative. I was just working on a steampunk jacket for hubby. I had him try on what I've gotten done so far and it's a tight fit. He swears he didn't gain that much weight, but I've watched what he's eating, and I wouldn't doubt he's put on a few pounds. Not happy about it since it's already cut out and partly sewn. If this doesn't fit him, he's gonna have to lose the weight! I measured him a month ago, so it's not my fault!
