Tomorrow a violinist is coming to the residence. He came before and we enjoyed him so I'm hoping my health cooperates to see him again. I still haven't gotten past R for Lumi gifts, hopefully, this weekend I'll finish.

We're supposed to get snow tonight! I really need to get out and hike soon. I'm starting to go stir crazy. My schedule just hasn't cooperated lately.

We're having colder temps in Montreal... part of me is going stir crazy to go outside but with my overheating probs (especially when I change environmental temperatures) it goes haywire. I've been out and about with no tuque &1 layer coat often open with sleeveless shirt... not the best time to go out :P The sun was so inviting yesterday... but I stayed in. I'm waiting for funding approval to be able to buy things to make my place more accessible... including a rollator. They're behind schedule and it should be any day now that I get an answer :) Violinist is this afternoon, so far health is stable :D

it's frigid here too (central New England). I layer up when I go out and peel them off when I get too warm. I think I may start a new painting today. I want to do one for my mother-in-law who likes sandpipers and such. I have pictures of piping plovers and little babies that I plan to use to create a beach scene for her. I just finished a 2D needle felted pet portrait for a co-worker using her dog's fur. She loves it!

It must have been an interesting texture to work with pet fur. I haven't painted in quite some time. Eventually, when my apart is organized, it's something I'd like to get back into. I did decorations for the common room for Halloween & Christmas. I even did personalized doors with snowflakes & held a snowflake hunt whereby every participant got a snowflake :)

I saw the violinist play and I enjoyed it. I brought the scarf I'm making for a homeless person with me and knitted while listening... except when I asked for a jig and winded up dancing a bit ;)

So glad you were able to go! That's lovely that you're knitting a scarf for a homeless person. I don't know how to knit or crochet. My mom tried teaching me once, but I just didn't have the knack for it.

It's a project some of the residents are doing. I was knitting a bolero (short vest) but it's too complicated to knit with the group so they suggested I help them out with their project. I learned to knit a few years ago with an organization called Circle des fermieres; well known in the province of Quebec. I only know how to knit a few things but what I can do, I do well :)

Sorry I haven't been posting lately ... life is still so busy and I mainly come on here to play my games 5 minutes here and there. I still have to finish my Lumi gifts (sorry!) and barely did any New Year's quests either. I miss everyone!

Hello everyone. I stopped with getting new year tokens on thursday before the end and I decided to use up what I have just to see what I need next.

That would be my resolution for this site is to use up as much of the event currencies just to see what I need or not. Work was interesting as in last week my manager was sick and then ended up in the er to get fluids. Some others were sick too eventually but not as bad.

I see I still can't use the link to get to my subscribed threads so I have to use the side bar to find this forum chat and even the side bar is not really accurate.

Might need someone to put stickers that I got from the new years shop and place onto my album.

Not on long these days, dealing with a lot in RL. I'm currently working on making an accent wall with resin panels (fake wood... grey). I'm also knitting a scarf for a homeless person. Helps keep mind preoccupied from the rest of the follies I'm dealing with ;)
