I'm back home after a 2-day work trip to Chicago that felt like a week. It could be because my flight home was delayed for almost 4 hours, and about half of that was spent sitting in the plane on the tarmac. I'm glad it's the weekend! And, bonus, we're planning a beach day on Monday, then vacation the following week. :D

Yeah, so the boat thing didn't happen. I guess the captain couldn't do it and they scrambled to call everyone, but somehow I was missed on the call list. The good news is we got reimbursed, plus they still had the geologist at the park, so we stayed for a short while to learn about the area. It was pretty cool! He had a few dinosaur footprints to show us, and we learned that during pangea, parts of Africa and South America were left behind in the area we're in, so that was somewhat mind-blowing.

Barely 11 am and it's already 90 here! This heat is too much, a nice super breezy day with a bit cooler temps would be amazing... maybe it's time for another road trip :)
