The campaign turned out to be not quite over, but I gave him his gift anyway :) I don't know him well outside of this, so it's just a gift card to a local game shop. I hope he'll enjoy it. Being a DM (dungeon master) takes a ton of time and dedication, and I've had the chance but turned it down before. I'm too shy 🙀

The Bathhouse is amazing, although I don't know why the owner never implemented a lost and found for some of this stuff :P And I agree that the Morty cards are a very nice bonus when doing quests.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to, but I'm hoping to build up a csc fund for our group. I feel like we could do a few coffee/group related cws together... and I know that many of our members would be overwhelmed to get csc instead of sP items from time to time. =) Especially for the Who Wore It Best game. Since it goes ten weeks before any prizes are awarded, it wouldn't be too hard to have CWs for those prizes.

love your offer but don't have the sps to buy cw yet. I am saving up the csc i get from the pools and those cards you get from quests. So far just a few csc. I hope one day i have enough :)

I am sitting here drinking my hot cup for coffee and eating a piece of cake. This is what people have for breakfast, right?

20k! Good job! Are you a volunteer at the shelter or do you work there?

I'm a volunteer. :) I have been volunteering there for about 13 and a half years. So crazy how time flies. Lol

What's everyone up to today? Besides eating cake for breakfast. Lol My grandma always ate a piece of chocolate Enteman's cake for breakfast when I was growing up. When we slept over her house, we were always allowed to have a cup of tea and slice of cake for breakfast too. YOLO right? Haha

Thanks for coming out here to talk to me.. I think this would be good for possible new members too. :) I like our group being tight knit, but I've loved having new faces around, too ^_^

- Almost time to go home from work? - I always have admired how much volunteering you do. - I wish I had some cake! But I'm also on a diet... and 'real sugar' makes my moods drop, I've found. Crazy how diets can affect our moods so drastically sometimes... - I did get one yesterday! Not sure which post I made that got it for me though.

Grandma's know best! Also, it is great that you have been helping there for so long :o Amazing!

When it comes to diets, it is all in the mind-set. Do not accept it as 'restrictions' or 'limitations' as much as 'recommendations'. I had to stop sugar for a very long time and then I always wanted to eat chocolate, even more then before. So what I did, every time I want chocolate, I would eat and apple (or another fruit). And for no time I no longer wanted to each chocolate but craved fruits instead, when I wanted something sweet.

Since then I also do not drink the coffee (or tea) with sugar, because EVERYTHING is too sweet for me :D

, that is very good advice. I am very much in a similar situation already. Fruits are super sweet to me, and I do not put any sugar in my coffee or tea. Regular black tea tastes naturally sweet to me these days.

I do intend to make a cheese cake for my best friend's birthday. I need to do a trial run of it to make sure it tastes amazing.. lol

I don't like sugar in coffee or tea either, and I love fruit, but I also still love chocolate - especially very dark chocolate

I think our group wants a recipe book in the forums.. So I will do my best to add mine. :)

, so far I got one today. And that makes sense about very dark chocolate, as the darker it is the less sweet it is. :)

I just broke down crying.. I woke up in such a bad mood today... My husband made a -very- good point. It's a lot of things in my life right now, but it's also that I'm so upset over the rain forest in Brazil. I feel so utterly hopeless. Politics is killing us, literally... and they don't see what their doing. All they see is money. I have such an intense love for trees and forests... and they are just burning them down like it doesn't even matter. It takes decades to grow a forest like that, and mere seconds to burn it down... and they just... don't... care...

Grandmas definitely do know best. I miss her so much. She passed away a little over 5 years ago and my other grandma died when I was very little. Wish I could have them back in my life.

thank you! It's very rewarding but also can be heartbreaking. For example, a dog that I have worked with for 2 years now was just chosen to go to a dog sanctuary because he cannot be safely adopted out. It breaks my heart that he won't find a forever home, but I think he will be happy at the sanctuary because he will get to play with dogs all day long and live free.

Thank you, <3 Just wish there was more one person could do, you know? The indigenous people are losing their homes... the decades of work done by selfless people to try and save the primates that were going extinct... all there heartfelt work is just, gone...

I visit the pound sometimes.. and I just don't know that my heart could handle seeing how some of them never find a forever home. At least our shelter is no-kill... but it's still heart wrenching to see them in cages 90% of the time for the rest of their days.

yeah, I hear you. The group I work with is no kill, so we do have some dogs there that have been there for years and some who may never get adopted. If the dogs are unadoptable but get along with other dogs, we have a sanctuary we work with and have sent dogs there. It's just very expensive - $5000 a dog. If they don't like other dogs, it's a bit harder. We do have volunteers and staff who work with the dogs and try to get them out as much as possible. One of the dogs I worked with lived there for 4 years before finding a very special family to adopt him. It's definitely hard to see them in cages for so long but also so rewarding when they do find a family.
