Congratulations on the new job!! It's great to hear they will cover all the maternity leave and your time with baby will be protected. :-)

Your comfort in the baby's room is important too. So, I was thinking about the chair/rocker you may want to use, and I found this one. It looks so comfortable for you to relax in with baby in your arms.

Congratulations on the job offer! I'm glad something even better came along.

I know my room had a floral theme and my brother's was sea/lighthouse-themed. Go for themed (but not tacky) linen, curtains, and some cute decorations to bring out the charm! Not everything has to match, though.

I'd make sure you have lots of available space (i.e. a free bench or counter top) to put things down on, particularly near your changing table - don't cover everything with pretty clutter! You'll have a lot to carry and use while you're in there with your little one and you don't want to have to resort to putting things on the floor.

I'm SO HAPPY FOR YOU with how the job stuff worked out! That's incredible and you definitely deserve all of it. I hope you really enjoy the new job!

I'm not entirely certain what you mean by organization suggestions, but one thing I've done is use a whiteboard up in a prominent place. Whenever I think of something that needs to get done, I write it up on the to-do list. The plan is then to check the list when I'm bored or don't have a concrete plan of what to do for a period of time, and to be able to erase/cross out things as they finish, which is usually fairly satisfying on its own, but you could also reward yourself with something (I'd do candy or a cookie, but you do you)

I don't know if you have a changing table with shelves but that helped me a ton to organize diapers and wipes and stuff under the table

Congratulations!!! On both your butternut squash AND your new job! That's huge news!

In regards to the nursery, I've always heard that the absolute best strategy is to have everything in reach of the changing table. Not to mention, get some blackout curtains! You'll need them if you want the kid to nap in the middle of the day.

The new job couldn't have worked out any better. Congratulations, I'm so happy for you.

You already have a lot of great ideas for your nursery, The most important thing in the nursery to your baby will be You, Mommy. Get done what is the most important things to you, then relax, and get all the rest you can and let the least important things slide. Enjoy your little girl when she comes. The time goes by so fast when they're infants. 😄 ❤

Congrats on the job! Really happy for you.

A gender neutral nursery would be a good idea, and maybe consider getting a convertible crib. You'll also want a lot of storage space for all the toys, books and clothes your baby will inevitably get.

That's incredible! I'm so glad the job worked out for you and that you got an even better offer! Honestly so happy for you! I'm really enjoying following along as your baby grows and hearing about your struggles and life as well :)

My advice to you would be to take it in little chunks. If you look at it as one big task, you'll get overwhelmed and it'll never get done. But take it one day at a time and one small task each day, and you'd be surprised at what you can do. Try doing one small thing each day instead of a whole bunch at once. For example, if you need to paint the walls, take a small portion (maybe a wall, or even half a wall) and just get that painted. Then you can paint another wall the next day. Or if you need to hang pictures, just grab one picture and hang it up, and continue that way until it's finished.

I saw this and thought it was super cute! Functional as storage and is stimulating/entertaining for the bab~

I didn't see how much it was, but it's on amazon, and I saw some other designs too (but this one was the cutest imo).

Congratulations on the job, so glad it's worked out perfectly for you :)

You must be getting so excited for babies arrival now; its so much fun watching her move around isn't it :)

I would just make sure that the nursery, as well as being beautiful for the babe, is comfortable and practical for you. Make sure everything is close to where it is needed, I'm thinking nappies, wipes etc near the changing mat, that sort of thing. I wouldn't have been without my rocking chair, it was a so comfy for me to relax, feed and settle my babies; it is definitely up there as a nursery essential.

Congratulations on the job! 💞

I would suggest looking into Marie Kondo to keep your nursery as organized and clutter-free as possible. That would definitely be a top priority for me in having to deal with the influx of baby items in my home. You're going to be bombarded with gifts from your loved ones, and I would anticipate an avalanche of clothes and toys in your future. c:
