Happy Friday everyone! Hope you are just as excited for a challenge again as I am!

So much has happened these last couple weeks. I don’t even know where to begin! But I will keep it brief.

Baby is now the size of a butternut squash! She’s kicking so often that people can actually see my stomach move. I find this slightly creepy but mostly amazing ❤️

If you recall, a few weeks back I asked for job advice. You all really helped me there. I opted to not take the new job as to protect my maternity leave. Then, something amazing happened. I was reached out to by a company I have been wanting to work for for over a year. They offered me a job and I, again, turned them down due to maternity. They offered me the same maternity leave I will have now at my current job plus a pay raise - so I took it! And I’m so so so happy!! I feel like life could not have worked out any better in the career field. So thank you ALL for your help. If I had taken the other job, I probably would not have had the chance for this next even better offer.

With baby only a couple months away and the holiday season here, I am getting so anxious. Time is going to fly! The nursery needs a bit more work, but I’ve hit a wall and don’t know what to do next. Please post either cute nursery photo ideas or some organization suggestions to motivate me to get this thing done!

Edit - actually, already having thoughts for your challenge. I think at this point I would take it to pen and paper (or computer and Excel file) and try to write the things I absolutely wanted and felt I needed to have done before baby came home. And prioritize that list - here's where digitizing the list can be helpful.

Like, I want to paint the room, but I absolutely HAVE to have a rocking chair. Then set to work telling myself that if the room doesn't get painted the room doesn't get painted. So what?

One of the best, simplest advice tidbits i heard some years back was - when you get to that part of your list that really is optional if you allow yourself, crumple up that list, no one has to know you didn't do everything you aimed to.

If finishing the "want" part of your list is causing stress, toss it. ;)

ive always liked the idea of gender neutral nurseries just because if you have a 2nd child you may can re-use the room. anyway i love this look here here

and for storage i love those pieces you can put baskets in, then you can have several slots for things. i saw one that was like room for 6 baskets kinda short and would fit in the closet then room for the hanging items on top. that way its tucked away but can be sorted as well something like this great on the job!! that is awesome!!!!

As for nursery ideas, do you have a theme? The main thing is you want to make sure you have all the things you need in there.

1. Crib!
2. Changing table
3. Comfy chair or rocking chair.
4. A dresser or place to put her clothes.
5. A place for toys. Design-wise, paint the room the color you want. Choose curtains that will complement the colors of the wall. Have soft lighting available for nights of nursing. Arrange things that seem natural to you. Pretend she's already here and walk into the room, pick her up out of the crib(use a stuffed animal). Bring her over to the changing table. Pretend you have to change her diaper. Is everything in reach? Rock in the chair. Is it in a good place? Make sure it feels right to you now so you can change things if needed. If you have a specific theme, I could probably help with other ideas(I forget what you chose to be honest). I chose this picture because of the layout(although that rocking horse is in the way!!). But your room will look different, so you need to figure out what needs to go where. Chances are if you role play, you'll discover what you'll need!

Nursery wise my sister’s friend has it organized pretty well. Major key points:

1. crib
2. a dresser that has a changing table on top (I think it’s an ikea piece)
3. next to it one of those special bins for diaper changes 4)laundry bin
4. bookshelf
5. rocking chair
6. toy bin
