Chibi Day Zentu is pink and look like a shy little baby, so I think that's a cute option! The Spectrum Blob also incorporates some pinks and looks cute and hopeful. I could also see a Scribble pet as being a nice option, because it looks like it was drawn by a child, such as the Torrent, Hipottu, or maybe Demi.

I really like the nostalgic chai, looks like a teddy bear. <3 A lot of nostalgic pets looks like toys, which is sweet! :)

My first color option for the theme "baby" is chibi, of course xD. I find the Anyu and the Chai the most adorable chibis. Who doesn't like baby bears? Then the Legeica or Popoko are my options <3

My vote is anything chibi! I have a Chibi Bhakoru so I’m partial to it. Perfect blend of pastel blue and pink

My favorite colour of pets on subeta are the Nostalgic ones.

My two top choices for a baby though are:

Nostalgic Kanis - One of my absolute favourite stories growing up was the Velveteen Rabbit. (click here for the story in video format!)

OR

Nostalgic Illumis - who doesn't love a glow worm!! I loved mine when I was a kid! (yes, I'm aging myself :P )

I'd go for one of the more playful Sweetheart pets that look a little bit like they're still learning how the world works through play, like the Magnus or Mallarchy.

Do you use an app that tells you the size of a baby? I use "The bump" so when you compare the size to food I think of it haha.

So I read a bit ago that you were doing a Pokemom theme for your little one (unless you changed your idea because it does happen) but maybe you can make the pet after her stuffed animal? It's what I did for my son

So for "pokemon like pets" maybe the Nostalgic Wyllop(pikachu? Kinda) Nostalgic Jollin Nostalgic Rreign (charizard?)

The chibi pets would probably be most like the appearance of a baby. Some of the ones I think would be good are: Blob, Kanis, Cybill, Chai, Feli, Ontra, Yaherra, and Jollin. Chibi Experiment and Experiment are also really cute!

If you wanna go for something that isn't a chibi pet some of the angelic pets are really cute like the Angelic Feli or Hippotu.

And of course the sweetheart pets are all pink and cuddly looking

i think it'd be super cute to make a pet when the baby is born!!! instead of adapting one for a dif date that way the birthday is the same!!

really, i think this depends on whether you plan to get any sort of overlay, even a minor edit, or not. a lot of poses work great, but maybe don't have a colour scheme that feels quite right, or there's just something about the markings or details that don't work, but the rest is perfect, so with potential customized tweaks in mind, especially since baby is going to grow and change and "customize" themself naturally, here are some of what i think are the best bases:

and a special mention to this one because it's just got that sheer sense of wonder and curiosity that a tiny person is so full of as they are getting to know something for the first time, or even seeing something they've seen before with more exuberance and joy than ever before:

i think the big takeaway is that spectrum, scribble, and sweetheart pets have a TON of great personality for kids. i definitely highly recommend a glade or sweetheart pet because baby is coming for valentines, so everyone is thinking of spring and growth and also love and candy, so those are on THEME. while most of the nostalgic pets ARE based specifically on children's toys, they don't really have a lot that have the baby/toddler friendly feel of a soft toy, or don't necessarily have the most approachable looking expressions or body language. i tried to pick ones that looked friendly, approachable, curious, playful, and full of energy. some particularly mischievous ones tossed in the mix in case baby is a little too terrible in the twos, lol. the wild cards are those reborn picks, but some kids are just so fiery and full of such a spark! while also being warm and confident. those ones didn't feel aggressive or arrogant like a lot of reborn pets either.

in any case, you have tons of options as baby starts to develop quirks and preferences, and you can always have korella go through several changes along the way!
