Hmmm let me think. Guess how wide your belly is with the toilet paper?

Deliver the baby

For this game, you will need to know how many guests are coming and order the right number of miniature baby figures. Once you have them, place the babies individually in ice cube trays and fill with water. Freeze ready for the big day. Now there are two ways you can play this game, you can either pop an ice cube in your guests’ drinks as they arrive and play the waiting game; whoever’s ice cube melts first is the winner. Or you can be more interactive and you can give each guest an ice cube and tell them they have to melt the ice any way they can think of and the fastest person wins.

My water broke

This is a more active game so might not be one for all of your guests. You might prefer to put teams together. Give your teams (or individuals) a balloon and explain that they have to pop their balloon first without using their hands. The balloon should be placed up the guests top and they can use each other, walls, chairs, and the floor, whatever they can think of to try and pop the balloon.

How big is the bump

Depending on how mum-to-be feels about her bump, you may or may not wish to play this baby shower game? If you do, I would strongly suggest you don’t use an actual tape measure! You should either use string or you can buy a non-numbered tape measure especially for this game. Get each guest to guess how big the mum-to-be’s bump is by taking a certain length of string and once everyone has a piece, get mum-to-be to stand up and try each piece of sting around her belly. The person who guesses the closest size wins.

I know of a really traditional game we always play: The host, with the help of other planners, put 10 to 20 new small common baby items on a tray. It's put in the center of the room for everyone to see for about 20 seconds and then taken away. Then everyone writes down what items they think they saw. The closest wins a door prize. Be sure to have a couple of door prizes in case of a tie. The expectant mother gets to keep the items.

Also - bring a baby book instead of a card. We put that on the invite.

I love ' idea!

Not necessarily a game, but have everyone bring coins that add up to the year they were born, thinking just the last two digits. For example, I would bring coins that add up to 82 since I was born in 1982. Then everyone puts their coins into baby's first piggy bank.

So there were a few at my friend's baby shower and mine so I'll post them.

The popular guess that baby food. Use blindfolds and have their spouse/partner/friend or family feed them different baby foods to guess which one. My friend chose 2 good ones (apple, banana) and then a nasty one (peas). It was funny.

For mine my cousin made two, one all men in the audience get a balloon in their shirts and whoever ties their shoes first wins.

Also there is another which was interesting. Ask everyone with a purse if they have certain items and whoever has the most off your list wins. Surprisingly my friend had literally everything even extra underwear (lol!). It was lipstick, hand sanitizer, lotion, keys, perfume, and other stuff. (Also really funny) it doesn't have to be embarrassing or anything but it was funny!

My husband had an idea where you use baby bottles and whoever drinks it first wins. It's harder than they think haha..

I gave to much sorry! Lol

I've had two baby showers and I've had the "guess how big the bump is" game at both and I HATED IT. My baby showers were close to my due date so I was huge and miserable and hated seeing how big everyone thought I was (being overly sensitive didn't help).

My aunt did a game where everyone had to guess baby items starting with letters of the alphabet. I don't want to take credit for others suggestions so these are games I do like that have been mentioned already.

suggested baby themed word scrambles. I did this and it was fun. Set a time limit otherwise some guests will take forever.

suggested everyone brings baby pictures and people guess who is who. I was at a shower that did this and it was fun. Just keep in mind some people might not have their baby photos for whatever reason so going with the youngest photo people have is better imo.

suggested guessing the proper names of baby animals. I've seen this at almost every shower I've had or been to and it's always fun.

I copied and pasted this from another site.

SPOILER (click to toggle) Birthing Babies

You'll have a roomful of amusingly anxious faux parents-to-be with this 'ice melter' game. The night before your shower, freeze a bunch of ice cubes with tiny plastic babies in the center (available at any craft store). When guests arrive, drop an ice cube into a cup of water and present to each person. As time ticks by, the ice begins to melt and the baby is closer and closer to its due date! Whoever has a baby first, wins. Or, change it up by asking people to correctly guess how long it will take for their baby to be born.

Baby Items in the Bag

Keep guests guessing with this practical game. Put at least ten common, useful baby items inside a diaper bag; a bib, teething ring, rattle, bottle and diaper are just a few goodies that are also fairly inexpensive. Give each guest a pen and paper before passing the diaper bag around. Without looking, each person should stick a hand inside the bag and identify as many items as possible. Give each two minutes to feel around and make their guesses before moving the bag to the next person. Once everyone has had a turn, find out who had the most correct answers. The winner gets a prize and the parents-to-be get the diaper bag filled with baby essentials!

Like a good neighbor, stay over there!

You can have them play baby gift BINGO! Each guest gets a bingo card and they have to fill out the squares on what gifts they think will be given(stroller, diapers, teething rings, etc). Then as you open your gifts, they can check off the corresponding square, if they wrote it in. First person to get BINGO wins a prize! And you can have as many winners as you want!

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup!

Maybe you could pass out a sheet of paper to each guest. On the top it could say Eveline's Baby Shower . The guests see how many words they can make in a set amount of time(5 minutes) only using those given letters.

It can be fun the guessing size. I recommend toilet paper as people just count the sheets & can make one feel less big instead of actual measurement.

Not a game but was special: Have someone tape each guest individually in private giving baby & future parents well wishes and something their parents did they loved that brought extra meaning in their lives.

Hands up, I did use good old google for this. When I had my children (so many years ago ??) baby showers weren’t a thing. I thought this sounded a wonderful idea.

Decorate alphabet blocks

What you’ll need:

Blank wooden blocks (you can get these from a craft shop) Different coloured permanent markers or paints

Give each guest a block (or more) and ask them to decorate it with different letters of the alphabet. Just make sure everyone does something different until you have a range from A to Z.

This not only lets your guests get creative, but it makes a cute keepsake for the mum-to-be and her little one.

Found this site with some good tips, although I think you can buy sanded blocks from any good craft shop

One game that I played at a baby shower was a relay race where we had to pass off a stroller with a baby doll in it. One teams doll fell out so they were disqualified.

One we did before was put a balloon under your shirt and then 'who can tie their shoes first!?" It's to get the guests to see how hard something as simple as tying your shoes becomes a challenge when that baby belly gets in the way...

Another is to give everyone like, 4 clothes pins and if they say a certain word they lose a clothes pin. The person at the end of the shower with the most pins wins a prize... the word could be the babies name, if you've picked it,,, or burp.. or something that would come up a lot in general conversations... onesie might work as the word... but you get the idea. :)
