I think I once saw a couple send their friends on a scavenger hunt to different posts with clues and hints on each picture that sent them to the next one!! It was super cool :D

I’m old school, I’m afraid. Immediate family should be told face to face, then maybe (as it’s summer) have a BBQ and invite your family and close friends and make the announcement. Then for social media, I like the pets with signs or just a picture from your ultrasound ?

I think you could show a picture of a happy, sentient oven, with a cute, sentient, sleeping bun inside. Or you could get one of those cute toy ovens, and have your husband film you opening it up and showing a bun inside. Then you could post the video on social media.

One of my professors wore a "This is what happens when you swallow watermelon seeds" pregnancy shirt once and I had to laugh so hard. So maybe post a picture of social media of a shirt like that and caption it : "It's official :I am cultivating a watermelon now"

I think it's cool to have your pet "announce" the pregnancy. You post a picture of your pet and people just think oh, another picture of their pet! But when they scroll down, your pet is holding a sign saying "I'm going to be a big brother!" I also seen a very cute one where their pet was looking at an ultrasound of the baby and it said in a thought bubble "Good lord, what is that?" haha. I think its a cute idea

Hubs and I both love Pokemon - we did a poke ball announcement where we opened it up and exposed a pair of baby shoes :)

I must admit that I also am not a social media person, but when I told my parents that I was pregnant 25 years ago, I bought sweatshirts for my mom and dad saying "World's Best Grandma" and "World's Best Grandpa"-lol!! This worked because my daughter was the first grandchild, so my mom opened the gift and saw the sweatshirt and at first was like Whatttt? Then she was like OMG, OMG!! It was awesome-lol!! My dad guessed right away, and then said that he had a dream that we came for Christmas (which it was) and told them that I was pregnant-lol!! Your Pokemon idea was really cute!!
