Tonight I get to play with my BluRay player, after finding a universal remote capable of controlling my devices. And it was under $10 for being an open box item.

That was a great find! Hope your solitary days aren't too bad. I used to require lots of background noise to keep from sinking. Now I use audio books and they do even better.

Its a welcome relief to watch movies like Dredd or The Magnificent Seven, which do not include DVD copies. Or rely on my old PS3 which couldn't output full HD.

A lifetime of solitude no longer frightens me, nowhere as much as mediocrity would.

Is there an obvious difference between Blue Ray and DVD quality? I've never watched anything on Blue Ray.

The only TV we have is from the 1980s, which I have my SNES and Wii hooked up to, but we don't have a Blue Ray or DVD player, or any local or cable stations. We use my laptop with an external DVD drive on the rare occasions we watch a DVD. I've been saying I'm going to hook up my VHS again, because I've got so many good mini-series from the BBC that are nearly impossible to find on DVD, but the TV is in the room with no couch or comfy way to watch it, so I probably won't. When I do watch movies, it's Bollywood films I get on Amazon Prime or on youtube and watch on my laptop.

Game 3 out of 3: All Blacks 71, Nambia 9. We scored 11 tries! Try= Players run while passing the ball along the line. The 'Winger' dives and lands the ball over the line. While making these moves, you have to avoid and take tackles from the opposition. Golden Rule in Rugby is to pass the ball behind to the next player, not forward. A Try is worth 4 points. Then is followed by a conversion (Kick over the Goal post) which is worth 3 points. 5 days rest. Then we play Italy.

The only difference I can see is an improvement in the fluidity of the image. In terms of quality, there is nothing I can see, except when compared to VHS.
