The answer is in the OP, under a spoiler.
For those that are struggling with the gauges, it works the same as it did last round. If you did it in the last round, you're able to achieve it the same way this round, there is a bit of lag which means you might have to wait a moment for the puzzle to register?
If you stopped it in the green, you should progress to the next puzzle. It may be a little slow if there's lag.
There are 3 total, the 2nd being the hardest

We were told that Ian should either give the heart to the Dungarde OR revive Jaxon, implying that the heart was important to revive or the whole body was important...
But at the end, he could revive Jaxon even with a rotten body and without the heart... That seems confusing lol

I can only tell you what way brought me to the pond. I dont know if other ways lead to eventual stuff.

I also really want to know if there are any items/challengers that we're gonna miss if we don't explore all the options in teh choose your own adventure part;; Cause I guess I know hot to get to the pond... but what ELSE is there??? I've already been attacked by Pilots and have eaten poisonous berries.

If you have your path C&P can you help share? It only occured to me to C&P the exact instruction halfway through the map.
I believe those that want to adventure through the adventure yourself, you should be OK, the options are marked very clearly if you wish to quit, and Ian brings you around if you mess up too badly :P Eg. when you got attacked by mama pylot

I don't think there's only one way to the pond... Just don't do anything that's not look to the pond (like investigating branches and stuff), I tried some of those moves and they didn't result in any item, opponent, anything...

-go to the right
-I picked up some rocks for good measure
-when you find the cut branch continue following the path
-Ignore the mushrooms ( they only led me to a deadend)
-throw stuff at the spidernet
-run from the zombiecritters
-take the right path where it sounds like water is flowing

Does anyone have what happened in the crypt saved? Mine glitched out and went from the pond straight to the dial puzzle, and I want to know what happened in the crypt. D:
omg my hands were sweating over that gauge... LOL!! Glad it's over :) but sad that the plot has finished lol :(
Does every plot length vary? :o This is my first plot so haha

I noticed and was thinking the same thing about the heart. I just assumed I read over it.
I read it all, and I'm pretty sure the Dungarde said there were no heart, right? '-' I really hoped that the crystals would be a solution to the missing heart (but since it's not a real Skelly heart, it couldn't be used to free the Dungarde as well) and the machine would break after one use, so it couldn't be used whenever someone wants to revive a dead character... Also, Ian would thank us for the effort and send us home while he investigates the crystal, then at some point during the next years we would have another plot that explains the crystals.
The machine worked and it seems to work again and again and again, so does that mean that the machine can be used to revive anyone from now on, like Amy at some point of the future? I was really hoping the machine wouldn't work or break after bringing Jaxon back, really. It just seems like a paradox to have a machine like that working forever in Subeta's lore.
