I understand where you are coming from but it would also be very hard for user run contests if EVERYONE could only get 60 cause if someone did it every single day and someone else did too they would have to figure out how to distribute the first place prize. Plus if you were limited like that you might not have a chance at getting all the times you are trying to get. Like I legit got the LAST few moro items I needed the last day and I toted probably over 1000 times XD;

I see your points, Flyingkat, but I think those are benefits in my opinion.

1. not getting everything yourself is good, means you have to buy someone else's extras, which in turn helps make there be a point to getting doubles.

2. those user run contests to dance/kiss/trick or treat/etc the most are terrible and those users who want to run contests will think up new and more fun / better contest ideas if that one isn't available, which as you point out, it'd be pretty pointless/useless if it was a number of times per day situation.

I don't mind the timeout timer events, I kind of enjoy them, but I'm starting to see Valiska's point as to why it'd be better to have a shorter timeout and a numerical limit instead (like the quests). Maybe make a game to get them? like... give the items as prizes for some of the on site games too so people who want more can get a few more.

So they could do it like they do at New Years more often, where they give the items as quest bonuses for certain quest givers, and that limits it to a certain number per day. And then possibly add a few of the on site games to randomly give the prizes when played.

I don't think it's technically sterile, but it is purified. My doctor that told me about the neti pot told me to use distilled. So who knows? I sure wouldn't use tap without a good boil.

I see your point on the first one and in fact I was only toting one person the whole time so I DID trade all of my extras for items I didn’t get XD Ah but I HATE the new years event XD I need like a zillion items I am NEVER going to get because of how its made. Every year I keep adding more and more items to my wl to never get them all XD

I'm not a fan of those types of contests and I wouldn't shed a tear if they died. I have done them for items I really wanted, but I honestly really dislike them. You're being asked to sit in front of a screen and be interrupted every 10 minutes for 250-1000 minutes or more (250 minutes is over 4 hours of your life) and you still have to pay for the slot. You're working for free! (And for me, changing focus repetitively every few minutes is really difficult work.)

Also if you can only TOT every 10 minutes it's not actually possible to TOT 1000 times in one day, because there are only 1440 minutes in a day. If you were up 24 hours straight and never missed your alert you could do it 144 times a day. Or a little more when the timer's shortened to 7-9 minutes, but not 1000. You could do up to 288 randos with no sleep in 24 hours, but randos don't work for contests.

I wouldn't mind it if the totals were cumulative, so if you missed a day you could do 120, but that might kill the servers.

I expect the cooldowns are mostly for server lag prevention, but honestly, after the first few days and up until the last day, it's not going to be that much of an issue.

What I meant was I did over 1000 over the course of Moro not in a single day. Which is roughly close to the limit you mentioned 71 lol, so if there was a cap of 60 most people PROBABLY wouldn't hit it and it wouldn't be much different than having the time limits anyways? As for the tot contests, the one I entered if you won you got the slot for free or a prize from her shop ^^ ended up getting a wl item that I had missed out on so I was super happy, but to each their own, not like anyone HAS to participate unless they want to because they want the item.

Well, the point of my suggestion isn't to limit the number of TOTs possible--I just recognise that that's one of the intended purposes of that effing awful timer.

My suggestion is meant to remove the unfair advantage that people have if their lives permit them to have a subeta tab open 24/7 while they are awake and they have the attention-switching capability to be actually productive at work/school/homemaking and interact with other people while having to shift their focus every ten minutes or less. That's...not the situation for many people.

If you are able to do this, either you have a pretty lenient job/school, or none at all--and you either have amazing multitasking capabilities, or you're letting something go that is gonna catch up with you later.

Of course nobody is forced to participate--but they ARE the only way to get a lot of good items, and they're not a lot of fun compared to other types of contests like puzzles or costume contests or gif/song contests.

So I wouldn't be sad if people had to come up with another type of contest that measured your creativity rather than whether or not you're fortunate enough to have a lot of free time and a lot of attention-shifting ability.

If I didn't value the warmth over the cold, I wouldn't live in California! I hate snow.

But as nice as it is, it would be nicer if:

a) it was more predictable, so that I didn't have to keep an emergency sweater and an emergency tee in my office all the time;

b) the California climate knew how to rain in warm weather, the one thing I miss about weather back East.

If it doesn't cool down to a normal November temperature soon--and I mean a normal California one that is sweater weather, not 80 degrees OR snow and ice--we're going to have another year of drought and summer hellfires. I live in an area that's way too urban to burn, but I still have to breathe the pollution all summer.

And it'd be nice if people didn't have to worry if they were committing a sin by flushing their toilets for (you have to if you have animals) or taking a full shower every day instead of a sponge bath every day until they have to wash their hair. It'd be nice if people could water their gardens without getting in trouble (screw lawns, but some people raise flowers and food). We're not on water rationing but if we don't get enough rain for enough years in a row, it's a thing that could happen.

I wouldn't want to worry about fires all the time either. But we do have some wild fires here in my area too. In fact , year before last or was it two, can't remember, it came within 30 feet of my oldest daughter's home. so yep, it is scary

I see what you’re saying. My husband is like why are you looking at your phone every ten minutes when I am in hyper contest mode XD and it would be nice to not worry about it so often. I am super competitive though so I am like donkey kong when events come around XD I was even toting while at a wedding on my phone one weekend over the last event XD;
