Sauvage was happy with the size of the group and the diversity of in it. She followed the parasailing group on where ever their adventures decided to take them.
((OOC: Just moved yesterday and got a new job so things'll be pretty touch and go for me. Not sure how often I'll be able to get on here. Feel free to drag Sauvage and Joan around))
Elizabeth smiled. " I have a swimsuit in my room. But for a dance, this outfit here has to do.", she explained. It was a rather informal occasion after all and she would enjoy it to wear a more simple outfit. She grinned at Callista's mention of Wayland. "Then I hope he'll join this party as well" She was now investigating her plate of fruits and decided for a piece of mango. Elizabeth chuckled. "Nobody is going to tear your head off for asking to dance, Zoe.", she reassured her and gave it a little thought. "what about Lorcan?", she suggested with a wink.
Toru frowned a bit at his grunting. It seemed like he had already written it off as not interested and they sighed gently. "Y-You've a-already decided." They could tell and gently flicked a bit of water in frustration. There wouldn't be any additional reasoning in pressing the issue and they sunk into the water to their nose and angrily blew bubbles. 'Stubborn, stupid boy,' they thought to themselves in Blade's direction, hoping he wasn't proficient in the Legilimens spell.

"Lorcan seems nice, and he's Elizabeth's friend; she'd not steer you wrong." Callista sighed. "Zoe...you do that Ravenclaw thing my sister Camilla does. You are off in your own thoughts a lot. There's nothing wrong with it at all, but that, plus being a Head Girl, can make you seem like you have a lot on your mind and probably wouldn't be interested. But if you come out of your head a bit and ask someone to dance--and people see that you are interested in dancing, and having fun--you'll probably get more offers later as well."

((exciting. Best of luck.))
Zoe was so unsure how to reply. How could she just walk up to someone and ask them to dance? “I-I…” she started but never finished and Jona just arrived and bumped into her. “Hey Jona, no thank ye. Glad ye got to explore the entire ship.” She shook her head at the sunburn question. Just then Callista mentioned the dancing and Lorcan as well. Jona could obviously piece this together. She was biting the side of her cheek. “I-I…” she said as she sounded like she was a stuck record. She could feel the burn of the blush.
“What?” Blade said with the accusation, “no I haven’t. I literally just gave it thought so I would appreciate it if you didn’t put words in my mouth.” Toru’s sudden anger only made him feel angry himself. “I’m sorry my situation is so upsetting for you,” he said loud enough for others to overhear, yet somehow it didn’t contain that much heat which was surprising since it felt like his blood was boiling. He got out of the pool and grabbed his things as he started to leave.
((Blade can be stopped from leaving.))
Elizabeth grinned mischievously. "I'm sure we can set up Lorcan to be around to dance. I think he knows most of the traditional dances, given his upbringing, so you don't have to worry about making mistakes. I know he's silent but he's not unforgiving or brooding like Corvus.", she said and dropped her voice. " Never mention that to him. Even though I'm sure he's aware of his... Rather special presence. ", she whispered amused.

Sauvage ran over to a chair on the deck and pulled off her outter wear. She wandered back to the group and asked everyone, "If we are going to be doing ze water activities zen we should be in swimsuits, no? 'oo is first to do ze parasailing?"
“Hey, wait up!” Fade instinctively raced after his friend, assuming the others would follow if they were into it. He was reminded if the first time he had been allowed to spend a vacation with Magnus and his family. It really got his adrenaline pumping, and his spirits were just about as high as they could get. Made evident by the massive grin that was unflinching across his face.
-edit-
Fade was bouncing up and down on his toes beside Magnus, while waiting for the others. The operator had suggested they wait so he wouldn’t have to watch the instructional video any more than he had to. Or at least that was what Fade heard when he suggested they wait anyway... When Sauvage arrived Fade went a little slack-jawed. “Woah.” He sort of stared, then realized he was staring and forcibly looked away. “Er, I mean, good point.” He muttered while blushing, trying desperately not to blush.
Quickly he spotted an empty chair, pulling his shirt off as he hurried toward it. It was perhaps a little disturbing the rate at which he was able to disrobe. Thankfully, somehow he had the foresight to wear his trunks under his pants. Carefully Fade piled his accessories on top of his folded clothing. “Acio, sunglasses.” He flicked his wand with one hand, and in the other caught a pair of sunglasses as they flew toward him a matter of moments later. “Good thing I left my door open.” He grinned and flipped the sunglasses onto his face in a fluid motion before returning to his friends.
((@/paddy @/raven @/anne @/sauvage I'm glad you made it safely!! Best luck with the new job :D ))
((OOC: Thank you <3 <3 ))
Sauvage pretended not to hear the "Woah" comment by Fade, but nonetheless a sparse blush spread its way across her cheeks. She giggled at how quickly Fade stripped, admiring the process a bit as well, and was impressed when he caught his sunglasses. She did not want to make anyone else uncomfortable by being the gushing girlfriend, so she stayed quiet. Instead, she winked at Fade when they crossed paths.
"Do we go one at a time or is zis something we all do togezer?" She asked aloud, figuring one of the boys would tell her. Suddenly, she glanced at one of the advertisement's pictures and was lit with excitement. "Zat look fun! Almost like wiv a flying 'orse, but it is above you instead of below. I cannot wait!"
((and all. Also, let me run the staff please.))
“I-I do nee… I mean he would nee…” Zoe stammered. “I’m sure he’d rather dance with someone else… I will nee tell Corvus.”
“I have my suit on,” Rosemarie said quietly. She had a strawberry bikini on.
Magnus grinned and whipped off his jeans which had swim trunks on underneath. “Me too.” He was so happy to be having fun with everyone.
“So how this works,” the operator said, “is you wear these harnesses attached to the parachute. Then you’ll soar above and I’ll reel you back in soon after. Now we have double and triple parasails so you can group up in threes. Once the first group is back, the next group will go. I can keep going if you want another go. Each flight will be about twenty minutes long. Sound good?” He showed the safety video and brought out the life vests for each of them.
Toru sighed before Blade got too far. They weren't one to hold onto anger for long. "B-Blade, I-I'm sorry. I-I shouldn't have s-snapped." They shifted into the water to pull their legs to their chest in a crouch. "M-My grandma w-was disowned...a-at least for a little w-while." They admitted loud enough for only him to hear. "G-Great-Grandpa didn't a-approve of her relationship w-with my grandfather. The n-next in line o-overturned his d-decision a-after he had passed." They paused a bit and glanced at him. "I-I am very w-worried for you. W-When mum a-asked if I had a friend who c-could work, y-you came to mind. T-There's a guestroom y-you could stay in for b-break, s-so you wouldn't b-be traveling daily." Hopefully Blade would come back to the pool, or at least not be mad at them for too long.
Blade listened and stopped for a moment. "I'm glad that her situation was resolved," he said. He sighed and set his things down before walking back over and sitting on the edge. He was still wet so water dripped off him periodically. "I don't want you to worry. Ru, I'm sure your parents wouldn't want me staying there. They'd want it for their guests, not employees. Besides what I made would go right back to them for the room and food so it would be basically working for free and I can't afford that. I also have a cat, which neither you nor your mother would like."
Toru shrugged a little. "N-Normally we don't g-get guests for the holidays. I-It's too far t-to travel. Also grandpa c-couldn't come." They shrugged a little. "M-My parents w-wouldn't charge you r-room and b-board. W-We just need the h-help s-since Christmas and j-just before school a-are our busiest t-times." They said as they gently popped a bubble on the surface of the water. "M-Mum's tough... b-but f-fair."
Blade sighed. He knew Toru was trying to help but truth was he was worried himself. There were so many things in play. What if they said no? He wasn't sure he could be rejected by more people right now. And this sounded far too much like charity rather than room and board. He work for them, keep their money, eat their food, stay in their home and they didn't know him? Why would they want to do that? Toru hadn't even asked their parents. He paused for a moment to know how to word it. "You can't know they'd say yes for one thing... But I can't mooch off your parents even if they did. I'm just a random teen. Why would they want me in their own home, especially if I wasn't contributing."
The operator pointed at Paddy, Magnus and Rosemarie. "How about you three first?" Quickly he had them all harnessed and ready to sail. They flew up rather quickly.
"This is really lovely," the young German girl said. She could see far off to the distance. The water was beautiful.
"Look at the yacht, it's 'uge," Magnus said grinning.
When their turn was over, the operator was ready for Fade and Sauvage to go up. "You two kids ready?" he asked.
Toru shrugged a little. "T-That's just how m-my family is." But then a thought popped into their head for a brief moment. "Y-You have a p-phone. W-We could c-call them a-and ask?" Their family had embraced muggle technology and there was a land line in both their home and their shop. Toru had a cellphone, but usually left it at home while they were at school. They couldn't use it on school grounds and they were still fairly limited on privileges at school since they were only a second year. It would put everything to rest if he was interested.
Blade felt himself tense and his heart started racing. He couldn't get the nagging thought out of his head. 'Why would a middle-class (at least he assumed they were) family take me in when my own parents rejected me?' Not only that but how could he tax a hard working family's resources when he ultimately had nothing to offer them. He just couldn't fathom the idea of someone being completely altruistic. After all, he was raised to believe everyone's motives were to gain power, prestige and clout. Kindness was not really present much in the Edwards' household.
He swallowed hard, fear visible in his slightly shaking hands. He couldn't call his grandfather either. Okay he did call and thank him for the phone but pretended the reason he was upset at Hogsmede was just because he missed him. After all his grandfather was really the only family member he was that close too. But his grandmother was a witch and also against muggles--funny how they totally ignored Klaus was a muggle and instead said he was a squib. But there was a good chance she'd out rule his grandfather. Saying that Blade wasn't welcome since her daughter had disowned him. It took Blade several moments to say very quietly, "I-I'll think about it."
Watching the others go up first gave Fade some perspective on how high they would be really getting. Must be pretty far up, because the sail became very very small. Fade was excited to see the view from above. "You ready?" He grinned at Sauvage, and offered her his hand.
It was better than he expected. The crystal blue water reflecting the light of the sun looked like a river of spilled glitter. Somehow their ship seemed even bigger from above. The weather was perfect and Fade couldn’t help but yell out a loud “Whoo!!” It was nice to not have to pay attention to keep himself airborne. Although the harness was a bit uncomfortable, the view more than made up for it.
(OOC: sorry for the lack of posts! )
Paddy couldn't believe how quickly they gained height. "Whoa," she said with an impressed smile, "that view is amazing!" As they started to descend she caught sight of Niamh on some strange kind of board with a large paddle in her hands. "What's that Niamh's doing?" she asked Magnus, hoping he might know. She held her breath as they came back to water-level, but the landing was surprisingly smooth compared to some of her broom landings.
--
Niamh nodded. It sounded like fun as long as she didn't fall off the board, but then it wasn't as far to fall as from a broom and she loved swimming, so would it really matter if she fell in? Standing on the board, she wriggled slightly to figure out the best way to balance, before starting to paddle. A loud noise made her look round, and she spotted three figures suspended below a large parachute. One of the figures waved, so Niamh waved her paddle at them, making the board shift suddenly to one side. Quickly righting herself, she dipped the paddle back into the water. Maybe waving was best left for experts.
