I have been back from Florida for a few days. I can't believe it is August already. Ugh. The summer is just flying by.

I get LASIK eye surgery on Friday. I'm excited but also nervous. I can't wait to not have to wear glasses or contacts anymore.

Back to work for me after 3 weeks of vacation. I am starting with a swingshift today and tomorrow and then 1 nightshift and then 3 days off :)

Last very hot day here (so they say), 36 degrees celcius. Tomorrow will be cooler and we will be getting rain and will cool down more till around 24 degrees celcius. I need the cooler weather this heath was no fun. And the trees and plants need the rain, so dry here.

Shirley must be moving into her new place, I'm so happy for them they really wanted that. I can't believe how fast time has gone by it's AUGUST! Before you know it Luminaire will be here! Happy Subeta Anniversary

thanks so much! Things are going great here at home. health is good, dad is remodeling my bedroom for housing purposes. I'm signed up with HUD and have my voucher. I would use it right away if the apartments that participate with HUD wouldn't have a 2 year waiting list... and the vouchers expire in 120 days of receipt. Doesn't make sense to me, but if I rent a room, I can prolong the lifespan of my voucher, and when my name is called on the waiting list, I will have an active voucher to give them and I'll be on my own! Homelife isn't that bad anymore. I've done a lot of attitude changes praise God. With His strength I could do this. I have a hard enough time changing myself as it is! LOL

We have a roaring fire going on in a few canyons behind mine. It's about 30% contained.... fortunately it's blowing the opposite way, and then again, wind has a will of its own. So who knows where the fire will be spreading to later this afternoon. If I have to evacuate, I'll make a notice in my status.

Hello. Thank you to everyone who offered me well wishes for my LASIK eye surgery. It went well! I still have a bit of foggy vision and halos around lights, but that is to be expected for a week or so. I can't wait to just see completely clearly. :) The procedure itself was so quick and easy. Barely felt a thing.

Just to let you know, I'm still alive. The miraculously quick appointment we thought we had to get our phone and internet connected did not happen. They did very successfully cut us off immediately but just connected us a couple of days ago. Gave us a very good deal and a $50.00 credit because of the delay but was sure frustrating.

We've been so busy and exhausted! We're finally getting settled but have a way to go. Love the apartment and the food is wonderful. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Bruce is loving the social aspect, which keeps me active too. Will try to get on and get caught up here but since our granddaughter and her husband are coming to town for a few days starting tomorrow, I still won't be on much.

so happy for you. Had that done quite a few years ago for cataracts. Thought I would only need reading glasses after but I had astigmatism to bad so still have to wear glasses. Glad you won't have to anymore. 😄

Happy belated birthday to and ! We have fires all over our province but none to close to us yet. Really has been smokey. Praying for lots of rain and no lightening so all the fires will go out and safety for the first responders and firemen and women working on them.
