Blade spotted a girl who looked more she belonged in a Victorian Era. He eyed her curiously. A parasol and beach dress. Seemed an odd choice to him but he couldn’t disagree that it had a certain affect. He hadn’t met her yet but she certainly had some intrigue. ((Wayland isn’t of interest to Blade at the moment with all those girls about haha.))

“True,” Blade said, “I found my phrase rather a bold declaration myself but you seemed concerned so it seemed to still apply. Zabini? Of the pureblood family line? If so, surely you would know of my parents.” Purebloods were whom his parents had told him to hang out with. Mix well, make social connections. Like Blade was going to do their bidding. If he made any pureblood friends he wouldn’t be doing it to further himself that was for sure.

When Toru said Blade was fine, he raised an eyebrow. Curious he thought he terrified the younger student. “Oh…well good,” he said lamely.

“Thank ye Jona,” Zoe said smiling unaware of any tension. “Swim first or would ye rather play ball or something?”

Elizabeth had found one of the ice pops she'd been looking for and chose a bright red one. Tasting it carefully as it could have been something like chilli as well - she was careful with sweets due to Bertie Bott's Beans - she waited a moment to discover the taste. Luckily, it was just plain raspberry, which was a delight.

She waved to her friends who had arrived with the portkey as well ( ) and then grinned at Sauvage's remark. "Consider yourself lucky for not burning your skin. I found a neat recipe for an elixir that works as an inner sun blocker...and I hope I brewed it correctly", she said and chuckled. "Swimming sounds nice! ", she added, answering Millie's question. Elizabeth wasn't that comfortable of wearing clothes that would show too much of naked skin - she preferred combining her skirts with tights. But it couldn't hurt to get out of her comfort zone for a bit. And she loved the water and swimming greatly.

Still not sure about were to go - the water was inviting as he swam often at home - Lorcan made a few steps closer to the others. He wondered if he should just join the buffet as well, but he knew better than not to swim with a full stomach. Food would have to wait then. Being thoughtful about his next step, he caught the subtle wink of a blonde girl, all dressed in white with a parasol and smirked at her. Her choice of clothing was classic and elevated. He rarely saw people dressed like her - most people at the island were tourists. He may have seen other witches at pure-blood parties occasionally...but he had been a child of 4 years then. Lorcan sighed. Since his father and he had moved to Inishmore, they never attended one of these parties anymore.

() Lenore noted the smirk she received in return of her wink. It wasn't much but it was a start. She picked up a golden plate and began to peruse the snack table. She didn't want to go talk the boy yet. It would be so much more fun to get him to come to her.

Picking out a light berry salad and some salmon, she wasn't aware of the looks she was getting from Blade (). He may be young but she would have been flattered if she knew. Taking one of the mocktails (pomegranate) from the table, she walked back to her billowing canopy and sat down in the shade. The liked how the sun played gently through the sheer material surrounding her. She took a sip of the red drink.

"That needs a bit of help." she chuckled to herself, and opening a small gold-trimmed leather flask from her bag, added in a good bit of rum. It was still a foofier drink than she was used to but it seemed to match the day.

"Please please pleeeeease can we swim??" Jona begged, already splashing around in the water with Duncan nipping at his heels.

Private Outfit Kiara had somehow managed to tie back at least some of her hair, to limit the windblown craziness, but all ready some of it had escaped. She loved the beach, and started racing down across the sand as soon as she hit the ground, yelling at her brother as soon as she saw him and stooping down to scoop up and throw sand at him as she ran. He cursed at her and threw sand back and she screamed and ran in the other direction.

She ducked into the bazar to escape him, panting hard and grinning, her skin soaking up the sunlight. She suddenly wished she had gone to school somewhere nearer to the ocean. She grabbed a mango and slid onto a bar stool, watching her classmates interact as she found a knife to cut up the fruit with. She peered around the edge of the bazar to see her brother chasing one of his class mates into the surf. He was already busy with his friends. Looked like she was going to have to socialize with other people.

Investigating the offered beach buffet, Lorcan quickly decided for a simple coconut with a straw. He wasn't hungry yet, so he left the now busy table rather quickly. It was getting a bit overcrowded. While walking, he tried to press the straw into the coconut. Even though the outer area had been removed by the cooks, it was still difficult to get the straw in. Maybe he should stab the coconut with his wand. Nervously, he looked around, but nobody looked at him. If someone had laughed at him, maybe he should have stabbed said someone instead. Or at least jinx him or her. Okay, enough of that, he thought with a grin and used a silent Diffindo to cut a small piece out of the coconut, fit for the straw. Glad to be finally able to take a sip, he couldn't wait to try it. The taste was not overwhelming, but something different than he had imagined.

While standing in the sand, Lorcan glimpsed the white parasol and the girl sitting next to it again.() He saw a golden, sparkling thing in the girl's hands and seemed a bit confused at first but then grinned when she poured something into her drink from the buffet. This girl seemed to have a certain disregard for rules as he had. Not entirely coincidental - but he tried his best to let it appear this way - he walked over to her place. "Not happy with the selection of drinks, huh?", he asked, an amused tone in his voice.

Parker was itching to go to the ocean as soon as the trip was announced. She made a beeline for the water and disappeared beneath the waves as soon as she hit the beach. It was nice to swim freely with only a Bubble-Head Charm instead of all the gear she had to pretend to need while swimming in places where Muggles could come across her. The water was warm; the Portkey must have taken them somewhere tropical and remote.

After about two hours she grew hungry even though it was gorgeous and tranquil alone underwater. Parker surfaced, changed, and shyly headed to the buffet. She was excited about her swimsuit (her first real two-piece) and self-conscious about how skinny she was in it. It wasn't hard to notice how pretty some of the older girls were and how handsome some of the boys were too.

Outfit Not Found

Callista blinked and stood up quite straight when Blade mentioned her family, suddenly hyperaware of her surroundings. "Yes, my family is Pureblood, and just about everyone knows my cousin Blaise," she said, in the crispest Queen's English she knew. "But we have a very large family, and our ancestral home is in Tuscany. We live all over Europe and North Africa. I don't believe I've ever met your parents, but perhaps I shall ask my parents about them."

After a moment's consideration, her tone became more casual. "Usually, you know, boys that I've just met ask me what I like to do for fun, or what my favourite subject is, or whether I follow Quidditch or not. I've never had anyone ask me before if I were one of the Pureblood Zabinis. Is it because I'm not dressed in green today? Sometimes, you know, I even wear pink."

It had taken Zoe several moments to form a reply. “Yes, but maybe you’re a slyther-claw,” she said but the tease and good nature was seeped out of her voice. Now she sounded strained and stressed. What did she want to do? Tears suddenly came to her eyes flowing terrible fast. “I do nee know,” she said in a strangled voice. “I have tried to find something and can nee decide. And my NEWTS are upon me… and I… I can nee.” She started hyperventilating.

Blade unconsciously set the clarinet case down he forgot he was holding and moved right beside Zoe. What no one knew, not even his parents, was last year and this year, he had been a lifeguard on weekends at the beach. Part of the perk was admittedly to check out girls in bikinis another perk was the ocean life. The teen sense Zoe’s panic. The girl was getting bad. “Breathe, in and out,” Blade said, “take slow, long breaths. Feel the air.”

Zoe did as ordered and was soon breathing normally. She nodded to Jona. “Aye let’s go swim. Callista, meet up with ye in a bit for a cold drink and talk of our holidays.” She was bright red at her reaction. “Thanks…” she muttered, grabbed Jona’s hand and took off hoping he ran with her.

The second Callista’s tone changed Blade knew he’d done wrong. “I don’t know Blaise,” he said. “I’ve only heard of the name to be honest. I asked out of curiosity having met a name I’ve heard my parents speak of. I wasn’t sure if it was a surname that was common or not. To be honest all I knew was that there was a family in Hogwarts named Zabini and they are pure bloods. Beyond that, all I know is what you’ve just told me.” Then she went on to say how boys normally talked to her. “Well I won’t be asking about quidditch as I can’t abide team sports so that conversation would go nowhere. As to what you are wearing, it’s very pretty. Not all has to be your house colours. You won’t see me wearing yellow. Then again I’ve not shown up in my uniform to some classes. That did not go over well. Anyway…er…” He shifted uncomfortably not quite sure how to proceed.

Jona was confused for many reasons. He was so absorbed with his own feelings, he didn't even see the struggle Zoe had been going through. Then Blade was there, comforting her. A surge of jealousy and anger bit through him; he failed his best friend and now some else comforted her. He didn't get to think much more on the situation before Zoe went running and with him in tow. He didn't stop her, didn't ask questions. Blade offered to comfort her but she chose Jona. Any hesitance or doubts he had in their friendship faded in that moment. He kept running, tightening his grip on her hand and pushing forward so it was now him pulling her along. They disappeared behind an outcrop of rocks; Jona found a turned over log where he led Zoe and sat beside her. He loved to talk, but he knew when to shut up, too. He waited for her to speak, all the while perched beneath her arms and hugging her torso.

Zoe was happy to be away from everyone as she continued to breathe and felt Joan's comfort. "Thank ye," she said. "I think I'm falling apart." She sniffed. "Ye're such a good friend Jona. Ye wanna sit for a few minutes or go swim?"

Toru had calmed down enough to see that Blade would be able to hold his own in a conversation with the Slytherin. But it seemed all their friends were scattering and unsure where to try to go next. They felt their social unease starting to flutter into their chest and began feeling out of place. Perhaps a swim would be for the best? That usually calmed them down and cleared their head. Some alone time might do them some good.

They picked up their bag and moved to the changing rooms, emerging in a black and yellow wetsuit they normally used for swimming in the lake. Toru began moving to the water's edge delighting in the warm water running over their toes and ankles. They skillfully cast the Bubble-Head charm a spell they almost practiced daily before diving into the crystal blue waves. They were an excellent swimmer and found a nice coral reef to settle in and fishwatch. The Hufflepuff briefly wondered if they had any cousins in this area but didn't call for them, enjoying the quiet serenity.

Outfit Not Found

Callista frowned. Absolutely nothing had gone as she'd wanted, today. She'd scared Toru half to death, and now she'd upset Zoe. She wondered if it was even a good idea to go over to Wayland lest she put him off as well.

Finally, it sunk in that Blade had changed his tune. That was something, at least. "I don't care much for Quidditch either," she said, relaxing again, "but my bestie is Seeker for Durmstrang, so I have to at least pretend that I care sometimes. And it can be fun to watch all the people watching the game.

Her usual good humor began to return, a bit slowly perhaps, but she didn't like to show weakness. "You're good at putting your foot in your mouth, aren't you, Blade Edwards? I'll forgive you this once, but I'm going to tell you something your family should've told you. When you're a member of one of the old Pureblood families, you have to be just a bit careful. There are people who want to know you because of who you are, and there are people who want to know you because of your name. The ones who want to know you because of who you are will support you in your dreams and ambitions. The ones who want to know you because of your name are only interested in whether or not you'll support their ambitions."

After a moment, she sighed. "Also--my best friend is a Malfoy, and some people want to know her for all the wrong reasons. She's at Durmstrang because of all that. She hasn't got Scorpius' patience with that sort of thing."

Jona just looked at her, one brow lifted higher than the other with his mouth hanging open. "Seriously," he said. "You're asking me what I want to do? Right now? Well, how 'bout this: I want to do whatever you need to do." He crossed his arms over his chest as if to prove his resolution on the matter. A bark sounded from around the corner and suddenly Duncan was bobbing at their knees for attention.

Lenore took another sip of her drink and set it down. Just as she was reaching for her plate of salmon, a shadow blocked the sunlight. She looked up and saw the boy () she had noticed earlier standing by her canopy with a coconut he seemed to be drinking from. Apparently she hadn't been quite careful enough with her flask. Or else the boy was particularly observant. She grinned mischeviously.

"Not up to my usual... standard." she replied. "I'm Lenore, by the way." she offered her hand from her place on the towel.

Wayland plopped down on the sand, resting his back against a tree, and reached for the nachos he had grabbed from the snack table. He was enjoying the view of the girls in their swimwear, one lovely girl () in particular. Though, he wasn't one not to pay attention to variety. A dark haired girl () was standing looking wary. The blue haired ravenclaw () seemed to be having some sort of meltdown. Lenore was busy being flirtatious in her snooty 'Look at me, I'm a rich girl' tent and the others seemed to have either grouped up or gone into the water. Hoping the blue haired girl was ok, he continued to eat. Maybe he should go check on her?

Blade watched as Toru took off to the water. He sighed inwardly. Did he do something wrong again or just the shy kid getting away from taxing socialisations? “Glad to know someone else agrees with me there,” Blade said with a little smirk. “People watching huh? Hmm, that might be interesting.” When she asked if Blade was good at putting his foot in his mouth he replied with a droll voice, “Apparently, it is a favourite snack of mine. Oh, my parents have told me to careful but they also never allowed me to socialise with anyone before other than my tutors. Besides which, I rather don’t care if I make them angry since they were the ones to decide to put me here. But to me people are just people, pureblood, muggle born or whatever, not that my parents will agree.” He cocked his head. “Scorpious? Is that her dog or something?” Blade had no idea what she was talking about.

Zoe look at his resolute stance and shook her head. “Then lets go swim! C’mon Duncan, let’s go splash in the water. Race you Jona. Last one to the water is a rotten egg.” She took off running to the water. As soon as she felt the water she felt much better. She was in desperate need of relaxing.

Jona didn't hesitate to follow after her into the water, but he did wonder what had happened just then. It seemed obvious that she didn't want to talk about right now...but when? This place was not the time to bring it up, though. Maybe once they got back to school they could go for a walk by owlery and talk it over?

"Come on, Duncan! Get her!" He shouted and chased after. The moment she hit the water, she paused briefly giving him just enough time. "AAAHHHHHH!!!!" He shouted as he leaped forward, arms extended. Jona's body pushed into Zoe's and threw them both into the water, leaving Duncan behind barking madly as she doggy-paddled in their direction.
