Congratulations on the new job!! I am so happy for you :) I'm glad you found an amazing new opportunity.

I'm sorry to hear about your soon to be old job. I've ran into that before at previous places. Usually got it from people I called "work friends", who were jealous or sad I was going or people who wanted to make a joke of it. I work in a state that they could fire at will, so it's known some employers will terminate an employee as soon as they turn in their 2 weeks. I don't know how long you've been where you are working currently but the negative emotions could also mean that they didn't expect one of their best employees to leave and probably really don't want you to go. It shouldn't be handled in such a way from them but we're only human.

I'd say just smile, be yourself and don't let the haters try to suck the joy out of you. Go in and work to get your paycheck but realize that you have the power to walk out anytime. You have an amazing opportunity coming up and just try to focus on what brings you happiness. Especially during the busy holiday season when I'm sure you have other stressors going on too. If you can afford to, you can quit but I personally wouldn't as I know how tight it would be in my household as we live paycheck to paycheck here.

I hope everyone is doing well and staying warm (or cool if it's hot in your area). I woke up to 32F this morning..which is chilly for Florida. I honestly don't mind it but I have friends who just got a ton of snow elsewhere so I was thinking of everyone this morning.

has anyone taken part in mysterious melody? I did yesterday....but all I got was rather cheap items. Like 4 maybe...then they went completely inactive. I think I may skip that part this year. I am really struggling this Christmas. Not a lot of funds plus marital issues really make for a sad Christmas.

Honestly, I normally skip Mysterious Melody. I know some people test the waters by sending cheap gifts at first and then send more expensive stuff but I do hear a lot of complaints that its usually people disappearing/not participating. I sound like a Grinch here but I'm really not :( Sometimes it's known to get better the closer to the big day so maybe just hold off until then?

offers big hug I know how you feel. This year just doesn't feel right due to those same issues here and I can't really get into the holiday mood in real life either. Doesn't help that my depression has gotten worse because of all the real life stuff. This site has been helping me feel somewhat cheered up (when it isn't laggy or giving errors) because I can at least forget for a small time about the real life stuff going on. I normally skip Mysterious Melody as well. I do it from time to time, but only to randomly send larger items. I just prefer to buy gifts for my friends rather than not knowing who is getting them.

It looks like someone at one of the high society diners in the cities where the great and good mingle during the count down. The use of black and red is wonderful. What dress is that? There have been quite a few dolls coming out recently. They are very cute. I love the Atebus Fairy Doll. The doll for the green dress is probably my favorite but it's close between her and the one in the Plum dress. Congrats on the coins. I hope you can get enough for everything. A part of me is wondering if they will add more items to the shop in the next week or so.
