"Thanks, I'm glad you like the dresses." Callista put the phone away. It was always a little weird showing it to other purebloods, but Blaise and her parents approved of enchanting technology--for one thing, it allowed you to communicate with people without attracting the kind of attention that chatting through fireplaces could.

"Well, it probably helps that lolita's an aristocratic fashion style. I couldn't get Liane into anything that wasn't. I got to know her really well the summer that I was sent for two weeks to a camp that was one hundred percent Purebloods and mostly Durmstrang kids at that. I know Scorpius came here, but he's a lot older than she is, and I'm pretty sure he was the last. She loves it there, though. They get to study a lot of things that we don't."

It occurred to Callista that a nine-thirty curfew would mean no more sitting up on top of the castle to see if the phone would work outside of the wards. Sometimes it didn't no matter how clear the atmosphere was, and given the curfew, the castle wards were probably extra strong right now, too.

She'd have to dash off an owl to her family tonight. She was going to send one to Liane anyway, because students at Durmstrang weren't allowed to have toys like that, but Fiammetta especially would want to know.

Jona stayed silent as Zoe talked, but his head nodded faster and faster and his smile continued to broaden the more she spoke. When she finally stopped to breath, Jona's head was reeling with all his responses, not sure which to start with.

He chose: "I thought you always claimed your hair was naturally blue?" Which he said with narrowed eyes of suspicion, while trying to hide his obvious smirk. "Anyway, I'm glad one of us had a good break. Although, I'm sure I have no clue what you're talking about when you say I look 'less mischievous' - I've always been an angel." And with that he circled his hands above his head to show off his DIY halo. Duncan barked at his feet like she was trying to call him out on the blatant lie. Jona blushed a little and touched his shaved head absent-mindedly. "It's good to be back here," he mused. "I had a, well, just not a fun break." He shrugged to signify he didn't want to talk about it, not now, and started clicking his tongue to think of something to say. "So, you're, like, a model now?" Truthfully, he couldn't picture his shy best friend under the lens of a camera.

"Is it true that they didn't tell the prefects about the curfew?" Eurus asked. "Sorry, I just realized you didn't say that aloud. ...I'm a legilimens. But, doesn't that seem strange at all? Do you think something bad happened?"

He was entirely unconcerned about the shuffling of professors and heads of house, mostly because the Ravenclaw house had been left out of the switcheroo. But the strict curfew guidelines got him thinking. Sure they could say be in the dorms by 930, but you would only get in trouble if you were caught. Something Fade was getting better about.

Slipping a blank sheet of paper over his recent doodles, Fade closed his book and stood up stretching his arms over his head. “I'm guna mingle.” It was weird how a year ago that was a sentence he would have never said happily.

Spotting Sauvage, Fade made his way over, saying hello and waving to a number of other students as he went. “Hey.” He grinned, trying not to blush and failing as he slipped into the seat beside her. “Hiya Zoe, Jonna, Paddy.” It was good to see them again and a little weird how relieved he was to see them all safe and sound. “Sorry I’m late.” Story of his life, but if you were friends with Fade you knew he would be.

Zoe hoped Jona would like her gifts but he seemed a little overwhelmed. "It is, they dyed it with black and darker blue," the girl said. "So I can use a colour spell to recreate it." She frowned when he said he'd not had a good break. What had happened? Was it his family in America? Did it have something to do with his new hair which she didn't like that much, but would never tell him that. Zoe's head raced wanting to ask questions, but refrained.

"Oh yes, too bad the horns knock that halo off," she said with a smirk." She nodded. "I'm glad to be back too. I'm sorry break wasn't good for ye. Aye, I guess ye can say I was a model." It had taken her a while to manage the photo shoot, but her parents were so proud she couldn't say no.

Magnus giggled at the doodle him and Fade were doing. He heard the new curfew and ignored it. He so would get into trouble with that. He nodded. "'Ave fun," he said as he munched on his bacon. He'd have to mingle soon too.

"Hey Fade," Zoe said. "Have a nice break?" Maybe she shouldn't ask that?

Sauvage could not save herself from smiling as Fade sat down next to her. She whispered a greeting to him and reached for his hand underneath the table. "I am surprised zat you came over 'ere. I sought zat I would 'ave to go and find you," she teased him, knowing his lack of enthusiasm for socializing. She left it at that, though; clearly happy that he had found her. Although they kept in touch during the break, it had still been a while since they had last seen each other face-to-face. As Zoe continued to talk, Jona realized he hadn't even glanced at her gifts! She talked about coloring her hair and the photo shoots while he shoved the little Eiffel Tower in his jean's pocket and flipped through the book. He stopped on a page that just burst with color. It was called Saint-Chapelle and he immediately felt drawn to the place. "Did you go here?" He asked in wonder. "I think I'd like to go there someday." Something about the multi-colored stained glass and the way the pictures captured different hours of light as it poured through the windows just made him feel at peace.

"Oh," He closed the book with a snap!. "And maybe you can teach me some of those spells to color hair? I was thinking of doing something like that to it....but then I cut it." He sighed, obviously not happy with the outcome. "Anyway, it'll probs grow back and then I can play with it some." He scoffed stupidly and rolled his eyes then. "Dang! I'm sorry. Here I am talking and talking and I still haven't thank you for the gifts. God, I'm so lame. Thanks for being my friend, Zoe."

Millie was so happy to be back and to have her favorite meal as the welcome back fest. She stared at the menu for a long time before ordering:

As Callista() put her phone away, Elizabeth quickly glanced at the small piece of technology. It wasn't weird to her at all. Sure, she didn't own one, but knew they existed and the pictures Callista had showed them looked so pristine and clear - a real contrast to the pictures taken with wizard cameras.

"Lolita fashion does have a playful yet elegant Victorian vibe to it. ", she said with a smile and then nodded. "Ah, yes...I think some strange things happened while he was at school. But as I said, I don't know for sure." She chuckled. "Their curriculum is more twisted than ours indeed. I might dare to say theirs is more interesting as well.", she added with a tone in her voice that made it sound like a funny comment for everyone who didn't know her quite well.

She looked up when the white-haired girl() she saw before approached them. For a short moment, she was surprised where she got the knowledge about the curfew from, but luckily, her wondering ended with the girl explaining what she was. Legilimens, huh? Now that's interesting. Elizabeth cut off thinking such things as she realized the girl could probably be reading her thoughts just now and how rude it was to stay silent for any longer. "We don't know either. It is unusual that they are so secretive and I do hope nothing bad happened that could concern the staff. ", she finally replied, "...I'm wondering about your name. I'm afraid we haven't talked much. You do seem familiar though."

(ooc - I don't know if they've met before and I didn't want to let my character appear as a know-it-all. :'D )

“Aye,” Zoe said nodding. “It’s got lovely architecture. The windows are so gorgeous. I’m sure ye can. Maybe I can take ye during one of the breaks? A few more months and I’ll be allowed to do magic whenever I want.” She smiled. “Aye I can teach ye how to change hair colours. It works with other things too. And ye know if ye don’t like yer hair length ye can lengthen it too. Aww ye’re welcome. Thanks for being mine too.”

"Thanks, but I think I'll leave it this length. It was my choice to cut it; I just did it spur of the moment and for the wrong reasons so it's not something that I like right now. But, I'd rather just live with the decision than constantly go to magic to immediately solve my problems." There was a moment of silence and then Jona blushed, not meaning to get so serious in the moment. He laughed, a little too loudly and without much humor, then bent down to pet Duncan. "How are all the pets, Zoe?"

Zoe eyed him carefully. Something was wrong and she hoped it wasn't too serious. She didn't like how serious he sounded either. "Okay," she said not pushing him. "They are okay. Flossy loves sitting on my shoulder with Erom and Reggie's become fast friends with Lewis. That little niffler is so cute and a ball of energy. Mum and Dad love him to bits. Alice is sweet too but toads do nee really do much. I think Harold wants to teach her to change into a top hat though. How about ye? I know Duncan's doing well."

Fade grinned up at Sauvage. “Not so bad when you’re around, ya’know? I like your hair color.” He squeezed her hand. Sure he still got butterflies in his stomach when she looked him in the eye, but after spending time together over the summer Fade was feeling pretty comfortable. Speaking of, his blush remained as he nodded at Zoe’s question. “Yeah, it was great.” He beamed. “Your hairs pretty cool too.” He tilted his head at Jona. “AND yours! Sheesh everyone's got a new look but me.” He crossed his eyes and focusing was able to turn his nose into a cats nose with whiskers.

"It's not to stay though," Zoe said, "I just wanted to wear it a bit before the dye wears off and it goes back to teal. Glad ye had a good time." She noticed how comfortable they were. "Ye both spent some of the break together, yeah?" She giggled at his new cat nose and whiskers. "Ye look cute."

Sauvage giggled when Fade added some cat characteristics to his features; she could not help but boop the cute little nose. "Do you purr, too?" She asked as she rubbed her thumb in circles on the palm of his hand. She loved that he seemed more comfortable in his own skin now, and not just around her but others, too.

Duncan barked happily at Zoe when she heard her name being said. Jona smiled and whispered "good girl" before standing back up and talking to Zoe again. She had asked about him, but he avoided the subject by talking about his own pets. "Yeah, Toadal Chaos is pretty much the same, too. Duncan is always fun to keep around and she's so well-behaved, I have no reason not to let her follow me everywhere. Except the bathroom." He frowned and said, "I'm trying to break her of that habit. Oh, and Clark is..well, as bad as ever. I left him with my uncles this semester. They're hoping to train him in better ways than they could while I am present. Something about my being there somehow makes him more angsty than when I'm gone." He shrugged matter-of-factly.

"I'm glad Duncan's with ye and fun to have around. Sorry Clark is so bad," Zoe said. Lewis was probably exactly like Clark but Zoe was more peculiar and enjoyed his chaos. "Hope they can help ye."

"Yeah...honestly, I don't mind Clark so much the way he is, but then again," he shrugged, this time his shoulders shaking him laughter. "I'm not the one that collects shiny crystals eggs from every place I've ever traveled to. Uncle Allen has this huge collection and Clark keeps stealing eggs a few at a time. He's started hiding each one in a different place that way we can't find them all in the same nest. He's kinda a genius, actually!"

"Aww that's so cute!" Zoe said. She was happy to see him laugh a little.

Cute was not what Fade had in mind, but he laughed all the same. Then rubbed his nose with his hand until his face returned to normal. “Not yet.” He could roll his Rs so there was a possibility of purring. But he certainly wasn’t going to try that here. “If I practice maybe one day I’ll actually be able to talk to Chase.” He grinned wondering where his mischievous cat had wandered off to.

As Callie () handed over the mobile phone Lenore caught on. "Ah, so there's more than one type of telephone. And it responds to your touch? It's almost like muggles have figured out magic after all." She looked carefully at the photos, taking in every detail. "You really know how to pick the right colors Callie. Even if she dislikes it as much as you say, pink looks wonderful on Juliana's complexion."

Listening to Callie and Liz () discuss the Malfoys and Durmstrang Institute, Lenore contemplated what it might have been like to have attended a school that was more understanding about darker magic. It sounded as though Liz might be thinking something similar and she smiled slightly.

The mention of Zoe () at a fashion show caught her attention and she cast a glance at the Ravenclaw girl. Lenore hadn't thought about it before but now that she payed attention she could see that Zoe did indeed look different. She also wondered how Zoe had managed to get new clothes and attend a fashion show. Those weren't exactly cheap and she knew that Zoe didn't come from a particularly wealthy family, not that she would ever ask such a question of the girl.

A new voice interrupted her thoughts and she looked up to see another Slytherin girl (). She had striking white hair and the darkness around her eyes gave her a very interesting appearance. When the girl mentioned being a Legilimens Lenore's eyes narrowed for the briefest of moments. She always kept her mind closed, it was second nature by now. Still, she took a moment to be sure that her defenses were strong. She didn't like the idea of someone knowing her thoughts. It was fear of this kind of situation that had kept Lenore from telling Liz what had been bothering her so badly last term during the incident at the lake. Though she had felt bad at the time for being dishonest with one of her best friends, she now knew that the deceit had been worth it. She couldn't protect any mind but her own.

She was about to ask the girl's name when Liz beat her to it. Instead she smiled and waited to hear the reply.

"Speaking of cats, I brought mine wiv me zis year. I left Citrouille in zee common room, but 'e is quite fiesty and I suspect 'e 'as already learned 'ow to sneak out of zhere and around ze castle by now." She eyed Fade then and added, "Alzhough, per'aps not quite as good at sneaking around as you are."

Turning back to Zoe, she asked, "Even zhough I live in France, I 'ave only been to Paris once or twice and bove times I was quite young. What was your favorite place to visit?"
