It is spread from one host to another by droplets, like from coughing or sneezing. Wash your fruits and vegetables with water when you bring them home from the market. Wash your paws often when in the public, use alcohol gel if you aren't near a sink. Drink plenty of water, get plenty of rest. Avoid touching your mouth or nose in public, especially around children who have the sniffles or are coughing. If your strep causes a fever, get to a physician, antibiotics may be indicated as strep can cause high fevers and other complications of the heart and kidneys. Above all, I hope you are feeling better soon.
