Ooh, almost a year !
Same. I should arguably be at that point already though, AHAHAHAHA
I probably should too but...I am lazy.
yeah, I just told Dad so I think we're hoping to hear back from the insurance about the roof. Once we know that we can get a eye doc and see what's going on. I don't want to go to walmart for eye exam. I'm thinking lenscrafters.
a few weeks ago (and not the only time) I struggled to read the print on the paint can. Kept having to move it further away to focus. Lights are bothering me more and more at night. Driving the other night hurt so bad I had to put sunglasses on so I could drive. I was getting a migraine so I know its not just the need of glasses but a good pointer. However last night the computer screen got blurry and I decided it must be me getting sleepy. Yet today same thing--and I'm not tired. Also getting a headache which calmed after an hour away from the computer. And I'm seeing halos around lights--especially at night. The print on my computer was getting hard to see an hour ago, so I stepped aside and its better now. All these things together kinda seem like a good point of needing lenses. Both parents are glasses wearers as well.
lol yeah is a busy time of year o.0
yep
Same
Yeah, it definitely sounds like an eye exam is due. To be honest - Walmart or Costco have the same qualified eye doctors as LensCrafters (I've been all over for my eyes). The difference really is just in cost. If they're having a sale on exams and glasses, go wherever the sale is.
that's good to know. American best has free exam if you buy 2 pairs of glasses a 69.99. And walmarts I think is $60 for the exam where lenscrafters is $50-$75. I have no insurance. We are going to Sam's club tomorrow so I can ask their price too.
glad you had an easier day :D
Yeah, it's definitely good to shop around, especially if you have no insurance. A lot of the club stores will let you go in and get eye exams/buy glasses there too without needing a membership! And pretty much everywhere does the same job on lenses too when they fill prescriptions. LensCrafters might have more frame options that look more...stylish, but they're also usually way more money.
Yeah I'm okay with less options, if I do need 'em cos I only needa like one pair haha. But I won't risk my eyes so I wanna get the exam soon. But I'm fairly positive I am farsighted now as that focusing thing on the paint can was easier (and it was tiny print) further away. We do have a membership with sam's though:) but I'll check costco as well
Yeah, definitely just check into them and see if whichever is closest to you will price match the others also! And I usually need two pairs (sunglasses and regular) but I've had to pay too much for mine. I probably need a new exam and prescription but they're too much money right now.
yeah if I do like americans best I'd get one sunglasses and one normal or night driving glasses depending on what i need. But price matching is good :D
-snugs- i so get it. We really don't need this now lol but if I need glasses I need glasses.
Yeah - mine work well enough. But that's because they're only a few years old. You should definitely get checked and get some since you don't have any yet.
Both my parents normally wind up getting new lenses every 2 years or so. -nods- I will, hopefully next week
-pets you-
Yeah, you're supposed to I think but also it's too much money every two years haha.
One day we shall have the drive.
yeah glasses are expensive. Well I'm off to bed, the computer's getting blurry again lol. Sleep well when you go
I hope so too. Gish is pretty friendly, even if she's over-reactive sometimes.
yes! Do you remember Sorn threatening to eat Gish? Gish remembers ;)
Dhara and Kassiri weren't even there but they sort of remember, in that they know somebody threatened to eat Gish and that's why she's wary of them. Heheheheh.
Raven, you weren't on our team so you might not know this but not only is the thylacine an obligate carnivore, so's Dhara--she doesn't just look like a feline, she is one. Her people use plants as flavourings and medicine, but they really don't derive much nourishment from plants. They have to eat meat. Being vegetarian or vegan isn't even an option if they don't want malnutrition that would probably eventually kill them (they could take taurine supplements now that they have the tech, but they also don't understand why anyone would even want to do that).
